Yes. Unless its OK for folks to start posting news stories from two years ago with the headline "President says_____"
I do believe it is still relevant, unless anything has changed in Sodom Francisco...
Way to get tough!
Eww....ewww.....EEEeeewwwww!
I respectfully disagree. The 1st amendment reads:The congress shall make no law...The 2nd says....the right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed.Note that the first delineates a restriction on congress,in the active mood. The second is written in the passive,i.e.,from the point of view of the people. It does not limit the prohibition against gun laws to the federal gov't.Otherwise ,the 2nd amendment might well have read,"...The congress shall make no law concerning the bearing of arms...
the Bill of Rrights didn't apply to individuals until after the Civil War
You are generally correct about the 14th amendment, and it wasn't until a 20th century opinion(I believe by Oliver Wendell Holmes, but I might be mistaken)that the current understanding was established. But to say that the bill of rights didn't apply to individuals until after the civil war is just wrong! The debate is whether or not the restrictions on the federal government would be extended to the states.But...
The citizens of each state shall be entitled to all privileges and immunities of citizens in the several states.(US constitution,Article IV,sec.2)
"...Yegge said he spent months planning his performance, studying the school handbook and the mission of the New Genres Department, which encourages students to work outside of the more traditional practices of painting and sculpture. Im just shocked and appalled that you cant do certain things in art school, Yegge said. All these bodily fluids have become a medium. Since the beginning of time these have been used as a medium. This is hardly something revolutionary. He also said Labat approved the general premise beforehand..."
I had no idea we were that close.
How are Christians to respond to these evil days? First of all the Lord gave the warning as His second coming approached we would see these attitudes occurring in the world. II Timothy 3:1-4 says, This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
Yeah, I know I throw this around a lot, but it keeps haunting me. Here's the link to the site that has some more interesting thoughts:Bible quotes and stuff.

Person on pot quote of the year from the pot mecca called San Francisco,
Another man, Patrick Hughes(a "medical marijuana "patient") circled around the police squad units -- sent as backup -- intermittently standing up and raising his arms in the air. "I have brain damage," he said. "I can stand up, but I can't walk."
Hughes said he smokes marijuana morning, noon and night to ease the pain.
IMHO, looks like the "art" scholar, Mr. Yegge, and Mr. Hughes, who made the comments in the above italicized passage, have something in common.
Brain damage.
