I just did something that made me feel so good that I had to share it with everyone. While poking around looking for references to Bill Clinton's Initiative on Race, I clicked on a link at the PBS "Newshour" website: ( Click here if you wish to recreate my enjoyable experince) and was confronted with this wonderful message:
"Please note: many files associated with the previous administration have been removed from this server. Some materials may be available through the National Archives and Records Administration website."

Reminds me of the joke about the guy that keeps walking up to the secret service guy at the White House and asking to talk with Bill Clinton. . . .
My first vanity, and I screwed it up. The first link goes to the PBS website, from which you can scroll down and click on the non-existent White House one.

Sorry to bust your bubble. But I just tried your link and got right to an interview between Jim Lehrer and Bill Clinton on race relations (gag me with a spoon). Looks like there's plenty more, too.

What's really funny is the link on the PBS page that reads:
The Browning of America
Richard Rodriguez considers the color brown.

Reminds me of the joke about the guy that keeps walking up to the secret service guy at the White House and asking to talk with Bill Clinton. . . . It sounds familiar. Would you care to offer a repeat of it?
"Sorry, like I told you yesterday and the day before that, Bill Clinton is no longer President, buddy. Why do you keep asking?" and the man says, "I know, I just like to hear those words."
Close?

Hillary has all these files in her closet. She put them there but doesn't remember. Only Buddy knew where they are.

The first link sends you to the (barf) PBS site. If you scroll down to the "One America" -- White House's official site, and click on that, you get the "file not found" message. I wasn't very clear with my directions. . . .

That's the one I was thinking of.

It might actually be funny if it were Paul Rodriguez, rather than Richard.
