..some had legitimate gripes, but most were disoriented, naive rich kids who needed a city-style ass-kicking...

...and did you ever consider covering those 'legitimate gripes', Mr. Reporter?

Because the '400-word suckup to authority' piece market is a little oversupplied, about now.

those commies have no legitimate gripes. If you were protesting against a UN style world order you would get NO press coverage.

No, that's for other reporters to do. He can't cover everything, you know.

Listen up , Byron, those wannabe big, bad protestors are a bunch of cretins, who have NO legtimate gripes, and IF you are in agreement with them, you have NO bussiness being here. Anarchy is NOT, just in case you hadn't noticed, one of the causes FR endorses.

Hey Byron,

I guess down under means bending an spreading in your language.

Your a turd, Burton should have given you a right forearm to your forehead.

I was there and I saw the Palestinian flag and the black flag.

Go back with your loser friends and despise the USA.

Tell them if they hit us again... they're too small. We grow them big up here.

You're a fay boy who needs a good ass-kicking. God bless the USA!

They can't even have a coherent message of what their "legitmate gripes" are on their own websites, so how do you expect a reporter to do so?

Apparently, it's not only these spoiled loser kids "who needed a city-style ass-kicking."

People with legitimate gripes are considerate of other people's property. These people are not- their protest could be done in may peaceful ways, as we so ably demonstrated down here in Floriduh during the Gore War... where we did not break windows or throw paint, or block off people's businesses, vandalize cars or other such nonsense. We even bathe, and say things like 'thank you, sir' and 'hello!'

Is that too much to ask of people? That they need not behave like soccer fans?

Have they ever tried to write, for example? The written word is a powerful medium for self-expression, much more likely to win friends and influence people than using fear and mob action. From what I have seen of their web sites though... the mastery of it escapes them.

LOL - let's have three cheers for the KKK, who believe that affirmative action and high taxes are wrong!!!

Should those "legitimate gripes" be considered when dealing with the Klan?

Blame the editors, not the reporter. This article was either heavily edited for length, or the reporter was so inept and ill-directed that his report should not have been run at all.

A reporter spending three days among this goofy cast of characters, staging public protests at this time, for these issues, and in this of all cities - should have produced an interesting and enlightening account. It wasn't, but it was not because of some bend-over to authority. It was the typical laziness and incompetence of so-called "journalists."
