We don't know if the script is bogus or not at this point. The police have a suspicion it is but in most cases they turn out to be real scripts.

Jeb Bush's daughter arrested on false prescription charge
January 29, 2002 Posted: 12:28 PM EST (1728 GMT)
TALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) -- The daughter of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was arrested early Tuesday after she allegedly tried to fill a false prescription at a pharmacy, Tallahassee, Florida, police said.
Noelle Bush was picked up by police and charged with fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance, a jail spokesman said.
Bush, in her early 20s, was released pending a court appearance. It was not immediately known if she had to post bail.
Bush and his wife released a statement on the incident.
"Columba and I are deeply saddened over an incident that occurred last night involving our daughter Noelle," the statement said. "This is a very serious problem. Unfortunately, substance abuse is an issue confronting many families across our nation. We ask the public and the media to respect our family's privacy during this difficult time so that we can help our daughter. We will have no further comment on this issue. Thank you for your understanding."

Is that what happene? MSNBC just reported that Gov. Bush said he would have no further comment on this, but he considered it a very serious matter. I am wondering if that means this is the same drug problem he previously publicly spoke of about one of his children. His press conference is today at 1:45 about unrelated matters. That was my first thought--that this was the child Jeb was alluding to--except, at 24, she's not a child anymore.
The tabloid press is going to be all over this one.

Was it a prescription refill that had expired?

If Noel was a Kennedy, she would be told that 'this was just a big misunderstanding' and that there might be other druggists more willing to give her what she wants.

There's gonna be hell to pay when her grandmother gets hold of her. She'd probably be better of taking her lumps in jail. You got that right!
This poor little rich girl is probably suffering more from a low IQ than a substance addiction.
Doesn't EVERYBODY know that anyone with a credit card can buy prescription meds
legally online and have them shipped FEDEX the NEXT DAY?
And anyone can buy ANYTHING (and I mean anything) online from overseas
and have it in the mailbox within 1 week.

I smell DU disrupters. They stink to high heaven.Agreed!
What I don't understand, is people who say they support President Bush, then turn around and call him a demeaning name like Shrub. Uttering such anti-Bush rhetoric is an act of the Bush haters, not his supporters.

"Please.....who on earth is going to relate this to the President.....get a grip!"Oh, there will be some who will try, TRUST me.

"Easy pickings for a democrat leaning pharmicist when she is trying to refill a discontinued bottle"
Narcotic drug prescriptions get "special" attention when being filled/re-filled. There are several Pharmacies I've read about that are calling the Doctor's offices to verify Oxycontin scripts/refills because the abuse of it had gotten so bad.
I doub't the name had anything to do with it.

Look at the Reuters headline...

She'll be treated like the son or daughter of every other President who has "misbehaved". Privilege is not a partisan guardian.

If she was a Kennedy, she wouldn't have used a Pharmacist...

Yes, Yes, Privacy is best. This is something which should be dealt with "in-house" and with much dignity and support. Their daughter obviously needs some help. Just for them though, because they're special. We need to be very sensitive to the difficult challenges their family faces.
On the other hand, the 700,000 untermensch sent to prison for pot possession each year just get their property seized, their families taken away and their asses sent to the anal rape factory. They need to be dealt with harshly! How else will we win the WAR!!!!
God, please help Noelle Bush and her family in this time of their deep and personally saddening need. Please protect them from the same rules that apply to the "taxpayer". How else can they be expected to continue Your work in perpetuating this deadly, hypocritical charade?
To: Helms
Probably Oxycontin or its generic cousins. It was worded like it usually is for prescription forgery. My nephew was cracked like this.
To: Reagan Man
You smell it too, aye?
Imagine if it were Chelsea. Shhhhhh! Headline news? No way. It would be "poor child suffered immemsily from the Bush tax cut. She was seeking relief."
To: Saundra Duffy
Because the Bush kids are targets, non-refilled Pain killing prescriptions or not.
The bar is higher for our side.

If she was a Kennedy, she wouldn't have used a Pharmacist... The elderly Mrs. Kennedy was hit with felony DWI three times. Never spent a day in jail.

There was no DUI, only the high-speed driving charge. He did, however, get disciplined at school for weed.

My daughter takes Oxycontin for her rheumatoid arthritis and her prescription is checked everytime she goes in for a refill--even though she goes to the same pharmacy and is on good terms with the pharmacists.
It's not the legal users of Oxy that give the drug a bad name--it's those who obtain it illegally, then remove the outer coating so it gives a bigger bang.
