Just an exerpt:
The pattern continued. In 1995, Cincinnati billionaire Carl Lindner, whom McAuliffe had successfully courted as a donor, put up money for McAuliffe to buy American Heritage Homes, then the second-largest home builder in Florida. And in 1997, Los Angeles businessman Gary Winnick, also a Democratic donor, gave McAuliffe an early opportunity to invest $100,000 in Winnick's new company, Global Crossing, an owner and operator of undersea fiber-optic cables. When the stock subsequently soared, McAuliffe made a reported $18 million from that $100,000 investment. Two years later, McAuliffe arranged for Winnick to play golf with President Clinton, and Winnick then gave a million dollars to help build Clinton's presidential library.

Yes they are! I wonder how many more of Anderson's clients are in the same fix. This is not looking good for Anderson's reputation.

Excellent find...was that you on the radio today in Limbaugh's last half-hour?! I was in a meeting but caught the last bit of Rush talking about T-Mac Corruption and wondering if McAuliffe had claimed the $18 million on his Disclosure...I taped that portion of the show and will re-listen to it this evening.
Great work, my FRiend...IMHO, Indicting Terry McAuliffe is the first step in bringing Clinton to Justice because almost all the Campaign Finance Laws broken by Clinton were brokered by his pet PUNK, T-Mac...and the Discovery Phase of T-Mac's Trial will uncover boucoups evidence of Clinton's criminality!!
Keep the pressure on HIGH and AG Ashcroft will have no choice but to INDICT Terry McAuliffe!!!!
FReegards...MUD
BTW...thanks, LB, fer bringing this to my attention.

Sources familiar with the [Clinton] library fund-raising, being overseen by first friend Terence McAuliffe, said it has collected pledges of $20 million to $30 million...Global Crossing Chairman Gary Winnick has pledged $1 million...The library fund-raising is striking both for the gargantuan size of the pledges being made and the refusal -- at least so far -- to disclose the donors.

From another thread I posted on:
With the help of Ron Brown and Energy Secretary Hazel OLeary, Arco was also, at the start of the Clinton era, in the process of building refineries in China. Hence, Clintons overturn of the export ban was an immense boon to the company, whose chief executive, Lodwrick Cook, was given a White House birthday party in June of 1994. The birthday presents have continued ever since to the favorite oil company of the Clinton-Gore era.
Hmmm...interesting....this Lodwrick Cook?
Yup...none other than the current Co-Chairman of Global Crossing Ltd!
No Arkansas ties there...no sirrreeee...</ sarcasm>

Well, Terry McAuliffe might not be a totally honest, humble person......how about that?

The Secret Life Of Terry McAuliffe
This just points out the hypocrisy of the Democrats who relentlessly try to paint themselves as the champion of the 'little' man and The Republican Party as the party of rich whites.

Your juicy gossip is perhaps leading to unintended consequences from this article? I love it when the press/Democrat love fest calls attention to the wrong details at the wrong time. Yeah.....good one.....ROTFLMCO.
