The NIV like everything else that is not KLV is taken from corrupted texts. I trust none of them except the King James Version.

I cannot comprehend what you are saying. Could you please talk in 16th Century English so average Americans can better understand you post?

If you really want to know what translation to "trust" I suggest learning Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, and write your own translation... That way you can be SURE you are getting it right..

I hope you're kidding. We have better texts now than we did back in the days when the King James version was translated. The KJV is a great Bible and beautifully written but the notion that it's somehow uncorrupted is just a fantasy stirred up by ignorant backwoods pastors.

You're wrong. There's also the Geneva Bible, which was translated before the KJV, and there are a few modern translations based on the Textus Receptus. But the KJV is certainly the most common translation from the TR.

Are you saying the KJV has never been "edited"?

The KJV is the standard, but really is hard to read. And as for being uncorrupted, you should be aware that it was translated from a very late and not particularly good Greek version (speaking of New Testament). For an interesting history of the New Testament and its many versions, see Metzger, "The Text of the New Testament" 3rd Ed. (Oxford, 1992).

What version would you suggest for Spanish, German, Portugese or Swahili?
