Saudi Arabia Backs Arafat-The New York Times

Prince Nawaf bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia's top intelligence official, said at the end of last week that any US action to weaken Arafat would destroy prospects for a peace settlement in the Middle East. Aziz called Arafat "a man of peace." The New York Times reports that his statement comes on the backdrop of a poll taken three months ago showing that 95% of educated Saudis of ages 25-41 supported Bin Laden's cause.

The prince implied that his country would not support an American military campaign against Iraq or any other Arab or Muslim country. The Jerusalem Post reported today that Saudi Arabia was behind the fact that Israel was not invited to attend last week's International Conference on Reconstruction Assistance to Afghanistan in Tokyo. The Saudis threatened to boycott the conference if a delegation from Israel attended.

They sure do. I can't believe the fantasies that they are floating in the Arab media. How could anybody believe their crap? They are claiming that the Sept. 11th events were staged by Israel and/or the USA in order to have a good excuse to go to war with the Muslim world. They claim that the intercepted arms ship (Karine A) was all staged by Israel, or that it just flat-out didn't happen at all.

The Muslims are putting out this kind of crap but I'm supposed to give their "religion" a try. Forget about it!

That's what I was thinking, too. Let's pack up and leave and take what we can from the facilities. Anything that we can't take with us should be demo'd. And when the time comes, we'll kick their asses around the block. But we have to take care Iraq first. Don't worry, we'll be back.

OF COURSE, Saudi Arabia would not permit their venomous Israeli brethren to sabotage the assistance to Afghanistan. Israelis show nothing but ill will towards Muslims, and you might be grateful Saudis didn't sabotage Israeli participation with violence, but talked it out, not something Sharon is willing to do. Why should Saudi Arabia NOT protect their Palestinian Muslim brethren inasmuch as great injustice was done by handing over Palestian land to a new state by the U.N. and Saudi Arabia may need to help them, better late than never.

I think the U.S. should not face humiliation of being asked to go..they should leave now..citing security reasons.
Saudi's may let terrorists attack the U.S. airbases...the U.S. could loose lives and valuable equipment.
Radicall Islamist's are getting bolder..and would like to have the "We drove them out" thing to crow about and bolster confidence.
There is nothing to be gained by becoming a sitting duck...and I do not trust the Saudi's..they might just compromise the U.S. facilities..letting terrorists set up mortars and missiles ...get co-ordinates set..the U.S. airbases could even be over-run.
Get out now guys..A.S.A.P....save lives..save the equipment....payback will come later.

Is is just me, or does it look like the peace talks are about to draw to a close? I mean if they won't take Barak's offering of the City of Peace, well...."the writing's on the wall" - no, wait that was babylon....

I like the phase, "Uzi does it"...

These guys are sucking up to thier muslim brethren, but when it comes right down to it, when we attack, they are going to need us more then we need them. Sure, the oil is important, but the Saudi royal family is NOT what you would call popular.

Before we decide to go after Iraq, and let Israel cut loose on the Palies, we ought to pack up, lock stock and barrel, take all we can, destroy the rest, and then cut off all military sales to them. Thier tanks will start to break down, no spare parts, no tanks. Thier planes will break down, no spare parts, no planes. Then, when they are begging us to come get thier little butts out of the fire we give them the ultimatum.

OK, we'll come back in, but you are going to CUT the price of oil, no matter how much OPEC screams, you will CUT your price of crude to us. Then, we will think about coming in and saving your sorry Butts. You will also allow ALL our servicepeople to worship as they see fit, drive a car as they see fit, and read WHATEVER they see fit. We will come in, and we will save you, but we make the rules, NOT YOU!!

They wouldn't be able even if they tryed.

LOL, those useless diaperheads' fingers are all thumbs!

They're not able to run their own petrol facilities and need guest-workers even to have their lifts (elevators) and telephones working.

It would be a great fun to watch the IDF response to Saudi Arabia's violence against Israel. I guess, it'd take them about 12 hours to make the House of Saud totally kosher... any other bets?

Did New Zealanders come from the same source as Australians? Insults indicate you are of the Jewish contingent, not the Christian, in your council. Of course, the Saudis can put a crimp in the world economy as they and the Muslim world evidently intend to if they receive as much disrespect as you dispense. They managed to be pretty good pilots w/o much training and to coordinate an economically feasable plan. You remind me of the Jews who always disparage Palestinians by saying they are savages who lived in tents, much as phony civilizations have always described traditional ways that sustained a way of life, until others interfered with it. Have you ever considered conserving such time-tested values as respect, in your conservative jihad?
