USO Canteen Freeper Style

War has come to our shores. It was committed on American soil.  We have been able to live in Freedom only because of those who have fought in the past wars giving life, limb and all the sacrifices for us to live in Freedom and go about our day without fear.

On September 11, 2001, that comfort, that feeling of living in a land that would not be attacked ended.

William T. Sherman said it succinctly, "War is hell."

The day has come for this Nation and its people to understand that there is a risk in losing its freedom, and in reality there always has been. We have ONLY stayed free because of the sacrifices of our military, our warriors.

This is about saving the future of America. Aristotle said, "We make war that we may live in peace."

We are seeing the American Flag flying at homes now more than ever in my lifetime. We are seeing the American Flag flying on vehicles and people wearing Flag pins and small Flags on their clothes. America is united in the cause for Freedom and for our country to WIN against the evil that came upon our land to kill and hurt us. To change our way of life and to destroy America which is US, you and me. To take away our precious Freedom.

This is the Freeper version of the USO Canteen. Where soldiers could come and feel a small part of being at home. It is a place where you that have family in the military can post a thought to a loved one that might be able to read it far away from home. A place where we that support our military can help support them, post to them, fun graphics showing the price in America and our troops. Poems, quotes, cartoons, or articles of how America is behind our troops.

Those in our military are our Nation's warriors. Let us join hands, fly our Flag and let the world know how important our warriors are to us....And that our MILITARY, our Warriors, are America's TRUE HEROS!

Nope, the gals, errr, cowboys and gals don't leave till Sunday, after the BIG Stockmans Banquet and Ball at our hotel, thousands of people in Building 7 and they're bringing in a real bull to just stand there, and, well, do what bulls do, poop...

Thank God Set Up (another Dept) is in charge of this one.....

Hi all!!! I'm only here for a short time, SassyMom is coming home tomorrow and I have to finish the laundry,vacuum, mop, and such so she won't have to do it when she comes home. Luckily I've been kinda keeping up with it so I don't have to break my back tonight and tomorrow. She's ready to come home and have some good ole Tex-Mex!!! Have a great evening everyone, I'll be popping on and off for a while.

Beamer had a GREAT time today!! He loves that pool, heated to 82 degrees exactly!

Our filters play heck after he's been in there (with all the hair) but it's not a prob, he's WORTH IT! :)

Thank you, I have had some send to me and then I forward them to Billie. She does a neat thing of FR's Finest, those that are veterans and those serving right now as well.

Then there is also the FReeper Photo Album that is a good thing to be in as well.

If I were you I would FReep mail Billie and LBGA and send your picture to both of them. Do BOTH because that way you will have all the bases covered so to speak. And it is truly wonderful to be a veteran and a Freeper so please do hoth. That would be soooo great !!!!

I have been reading a couple of books to sharpen up for Feb 4th. Before this week, I was in the middle of reading Barbara Olson's "Hell to Pay" and Ann Coulter's "High Crimes and Misdemeanors". I dropped them both with this new priority, but I hope to get back to reading them. (I have to wash the filth off my hands after reading some sections of those books. I can only imagine Barbara and Ann having to do the same thing when they were writing these books.)

I should be able to post jokes periodically. Fortunately, other people are picking up the slack around here with some fabulous jokes.
