Arizona Gunkit Maker Bob Stewart Found Guilty by Jury Judge Declares Him "Dangerous to Society" and Locks Him Up Until Sentencing
by Angel Shamaya
January 23, 2002
PHOENIX, Arizona (KeepAndBearArms.com) What began as an undercover operation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in April 2000 concluded with a "guilty" verdict from an Arizona jury today Bob Stewart's detention hearing is expected on the 1st of February, and his sentencing hearing takes place some time before April of this year. According to Mr. Stewart's wife Naomi, mother of their three young boys, the judge declared Bob "a flight risk and a danger to society," and sent him straight to jail to await sentencing. Said Mrs. Stewart, "they wouldn't even let me give him a goodbye hug before they took him away."
Rest of article.
Pay close attention to the words of the federal judge in this case, and the instructions to the jury in particular.
Also, another article detailing the manner in which the judge went out of her way to ensure that there wouldn't be a fair trial in this case.

I'd recommend a little reading for those who have little or no familiarity with this case. Head to Keep and Bear Arms at the link in the header and so a Search for "Bob Stewart". There should be 9 or 10 articles that document the total abuse of power by the executive and judicial branches of government in going after this man.
If this doesn't get your blood boiling, you may want to schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Ran a search and that didn't pop up.
Sorry for the double-tap.

Must confess that I've been out of work since right after our breakfast get-together, amigo. Haven't had a spare nickel so I haven't ordered one yet.
Got hired by GE Power Systems yesterday, though, and "spare money" doesn't look like it's going to a problem anymore! I'll be basically doing my old job from the Navy, but for about a 50-60% pay increase. I've got the site bookmarked, and part of my first paycheck will go towards ordering one.
How are sales going, by the way? (Drop me a line if you don't want to discuss that further in here.)

I was going to refer you to the other thread. I am appalled at this result and know that we are one step closer to civil war.

What seems to be the problem, here?
Mr. Stewart's court-appointed defense attorney,
To: let freedom sing
The "problem" is that Stewart decided to defend himself, and the court forced him to accept an attorney at least as council.

I agree, you SHOULD take note of the #3 and #4 posts! Good Job! Your learning to act civil ...maybe you can be like those two posters instead of going off on one of your Thread Nanny rants!
Keep up the good work!

Two words: stacked deck.

It is unfortunate that the only way to challenge unconstitutional laws is to be convicted and have the conviction overturned.
The US Supreme Court will have to declare that laws against machineguns are unconstitutional. They will also have to declare that the signed order of a judge restoring Stewart's rights is binding on all other jurisdictions and may only be overturned through due process.
Can someone point out how to donate to Stewart's cause?

Hopefully the government criminals will one day face a fate worse than death.

It appears from the record that this fellow tried to be his own lawyer? Is he that foolish?

"Man who serve as own attorney have ass for lawyer." Don't know about that. I'm 1-0 myself.
Posts like this bother me. The conduct of the judge shouldn't be determined by whether or not you have one of his or her fraternity members (another lawyer) acting in your behalf or not.
The bottom line to this matter is this man got railroaded by the in-justice system in this country. The verdict was in before the trial even began, because the judge had already made up her mind as to the outcome.
