SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- John Walker Lindh's parents had the first word in the battle to shape his image, calling him a "good kid," releasing cute family pictures and suggesting he was brainwashed by the Taliban.
The government painted a far darker picture based on his interviews with the FBI in Afghanistan, where he was captured in November. Attorney General John Ashcroft suggested Lindh alone decided to take up arms with the Taliban against the United States.

I think the Yemen Language Center is more interested in the clean-cut crowd rather than sloppy California Kooks.
Evidence.

He's being portrayed by the media as the most misfortunate little creep. How heartbreaking...

Michael KleinmanI don't know if I'd go to Yemen with a name like this....

mom was calling and calling. 'Oh they will kill him there. It's not safe. How much money will he need?"' Covey recalled. "She gave us a hard time, the mother -- calling, calling, calling. She was saying she didn't feel safe for him to study in my country." But you continued to send your much loved son money so he could continue studying in a dangerous country. You lady, are dumb as a rock.

And the cost of life for others younger than he to save her fat ass from terrorism?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Many years ago when I misbehaved I remember being 3,000 miles from home. I was low on $. I called my Mom and asked for her to send money. She said no and hung up on me. Best thing she could have done. You see Mom truly loved me. She didn't want to be part of my bad behavior. BTW...What I was doing really wasn't criminal just not right.

Walker's attorney, "
John loves his country".
Media bleeds for the parents and their poor child who chose to murder our Americans.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
"Maybe you send him back to Afghanistan." I could live with that, if we had a back room agreement with Karzi that Johnny be tried and executed as a foreigner invoved in a civil war with the side that lost.

Walker's the ENEMY and I'm damn sick of the Rats and the media seeking amnesty soley for political gain. In addition to you, EVERYONE who takes side with Walker can go to Afghan with him. Remember the failed promises to leave the country if Bush took office?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
That is a lie. He does not love his country and I have every reason to beleive he picked that one up from his parents before he went to Afghanistan.
To: KC_Conspirator
Why is he back in America? Because of his love for the country?

I found the truth and I'm not going to think about it. What I stand on is right, and what you stand on is wrong,"'he's a creationist!

Apparently his dad and his lawyers think he loves his country. What kind of fools do they think we are?

"He was like, 'I found the truth and I'm not going to think about it. What I stand on is right, and what you stand on is wrong,"' White recalled during a phone interview from his home in the West Bank.A lifetime in the PC world of American education acheived its goals (kill all critical thought and dissent from the approved positions of the day).

...and you're a marxist/materialist fool. You and the creationists and other unthinking fundamentalist nutbars ought to have yourselves a real party, seeing as how you're all renting the same flat at the end of the authoritarian spectrum.

"He was well-cooked before he arrived" in the Middle East in 1998, said White. "There was not much critical thinking going on." Liberalism in a nutshell.

Is it possible to ship the whole family back to Afghanistan? He doesn't love this country and he is a monster of their creation.

"I found the truth and I'm not going to think about it. What I stand on is right, and what you stand on is wrong,..."So John Walker and John Ashcroft have something in common.
