Please forgive my ignorance - what is the link to the UK? I saw a reference in article above, some auditing firm in the UK telling how they do it over there.

Anderson have UK investors? Just missing a piece of info here as to why a UK paper appears to have been the first to announce this?

No wonder Enron fired them. LOL.

They wouldn't have fired them had they known the emails could be recovered.

The UK tabloids and newspapers are known around the world for some of the strongest investigative journalists in the business.

They give no quarter liberal or conservative and will often break news days ahead of American outlets.

"Aide testifies Mrs. Clinton's billing files mysteriously appeared

January 18, 1996 WASHINGTON (CNN)
-- The personal assistant to President Clinton is taking at least part of the blame for the long delay in turning over Rose Law Firm billing records to the Senate Whitewater Committee.

Synchronicity! Calling Art Bell.

Hard copies can be burnt or shredded, but E-mails are forever, even "deleted" ones.

That is sad commentary on this country's media.

I know, we have known the preferred slant of our mainstream media for years - still a bit of a shock.

Wonder if we can do a 6 - 1 ratio swap. Those folks would have a field day here.

Thanks, LVM

"Missing files possibly linking the Bush Administration to the Enron fiasco FOUND!"

Didja hear Roger Hedgecock, sitting in for Rush, today? He told about Bill Crystal advising the Demonicrats on Hardball to keep the blizzard of B.S. going against the Bush administration and keep asking why "W" and Dick keep hangin with these "looters of America!" (not an exact quote, just a paraphrasing)

There was a bunch more that I can't remember correctly, but the idea was to keep pounding this even if not verifiable until the "masses" believe it due to hearing in CONSTANTLY!!! (even before any facts come to light)

Does not surprise me one bit - straight out of the DNC playbook - if you tell a lie often enough, people start to believe it.

I sure hope the GWB administration is paying full attention here - and intends to react - forcefully!

Wow! Its a miracle. Wonder if it showed up like magic in one of the Klinton's many living quarters? Wonder if it like the more famous missing files of the past, reeked with the aroma of cat litter?

THe strangest thing in modern times is how every product on earth has improved, except for the Lie detector and the pill that turns water into gasoline. The latter is understandable-it's the profit motive. Hell, the former is equally understandable: a dependable lie detector would put all judges, lawyers and politicians out of work, even as it put the real criminals in prison and the real killers on death row, and exposed the anti-death penalty zealots for the masochistic lovers of Sadist that they are.

The same truth that shall make you free, shall free truth from the liars that hold it captive.

HOW??? Until the FACTS are in, do you actually believe that they will lash back with statements they can't support either?

That's the problem with what some on here call "The Stupid Party." They always draw the line at conclusion jumping or "B.S.ing" their way out of things like Clinton, Clinton & Gore did and are too scared to "cover-up" because Nixon got caught.

Talk about a "Lock-Box!" They'll let the Demonicrats get away with it... AGAIN!!!

BOHICA!!!

It also emerged that Enron had made $700,000 of election campaign donations to several members of the congressional committees investigating the company’s collapse. Instead of dropping out of the investigation, however, many of the Senators and Representatives have said that they will pass on the money to charity.

Oh, gee, I guess the Democratic Underground will get that infusion to keep them going.

Dumocrap logic.
It's like shooting someone.
If you give the gun away to a buy back program after you're done, you're free from wrong doing ???

Recovered files. Second edition. We didn't like the first edition so we erased it and started over.

LET THE FINGER POINTING BEGIN! When Enron fired Anderson, I took it as Enron's first move in trying to make Anderson the scapegoat. "Oh, no, we weren't co-conspirators, it turns out that nasty Anderson Consulting hid things from us, it's all their fault."

So I take this sudden "recovery" of "lost" documents on Anderson's part as, "oh yeah?? Well if you're gonna be that way about it, so much for the 'united front' defense of 'we can't find the incriminating documents', if you're going to try to pin this on us, we've got enough documents to lay most of the blame at *your* door..."

The fun is just beginning.

After it's all said and done, they give the money back. A little late not to be "corrupted" (McCain's word) by it then. But essentially, that is simply the inverse of the stupid RAT position on Bush: He shouldn't have taken money from Enron before they had ever done anything wrong because he should have known they would have done something wrong in the future!
