ICE skaters must clean up their acts after complaints the sport is becoming obscene.

Revealing routines — such as women being held upside down with their legs akimbo — have been banned ahead of next month’s Winter Olympics.

Judges will now deduct points for dirty dancing as bosses fear the family-friendly sport is in danger of attracting the wrong kind of spectator.

Nick Russell, director of the National Ice Skating Association, said: “As couples try to be more entertaining, they produce moves that are gynaecological, which is about as politely as it can be put.”

Nancy Meiss, a US judge, said: “If I want a young man waving his partner’s assets in my face, I can rent a porn movie.”

Canadian Ann Shaw said: “When partners are tossed around there will be instances when photographers get unfortunate shots.”

Its about time. Does the Winter Olympics need Porn On Ice to draw the ratings sizzle? Kudos to the judges for telling the athletes to clean up their sport.

I also used to watch because I liked the "clean" stunts they can do, it got embarrassing after a while to see some of the "dirty" dancing on the telly. Especially with children around.

Hehehehe... its not like kids don't know what sex is. Still if they can't dance "clean" what the heck just dress the women in bikinis and the guys in briefs and tank tops and watch the stadium fill up. At least they'll be running the Olympics as something other than a revenue loss leader.

In the case of Ice Dancing, they have to find something to make the sport appealing. Because otherwise the sport is totally boring to non ice dancers.

While they are at it how about banning some of the facial expressions on the dancers faces. Some of the dancers appear to be having an orgasm during their routines.
