If this is true, I don't know what to say anymore.

According to his explanation ? based on the physical axiom that every action produces an equal and opposite reaction -- a high-velocity explosion on one side of an airliner will cause expelling gases to create a rocket effect that will push the plane in the opposite direction, which weakened the tail. I hate it whenI'm right!!!

Ouch, using DEBKA as a source? Obviously not true. I think if a bomb had gone off on the plane, they would find that out rather quickly. Sorry...

Any good reporter(who speaks spanish, since most of the passengers were Dominican), could look over the manifest of flight 537 and ask questions of the families involved.
Did Debka do this?

This thread poses a very, very valid question.

Has it ever been released WHO was setting in those seats on the air bus that crashed?

If this hasn't crossed everyones mind at least once, you're not thinking.

DEBKA's credibility is worthless, however, I agree with this scenario. Hey, even a stopped clock is right twice a day!

This idea isn't original with this article.
I think it sounds like a feasible idea, but I don't believe in a deliberate cover-up. I also believe that in cases like this where an accident is possible that the terrorists responsible would make it known it was an act of terrorism.

I never DID think Arabs should be trusted with shoes. Keep them barefoot like their wives and children.

Thus, although Shoe Bomber No. 1 got away with carrying out his mission of terror, fortunately for the 197 aboard AA Flight 63 Richard Reid was stopped in the nick of time. If 587 was "shoe job" #1 it appears to have fallen flat (pardon the pun). Hardly anyone seemed concerned about the possibility of an onboard explosion once attention focused upon the plane's tail, which appeared to have broken off clean. Could it have been two synchronized shoe jobs, one at the wings and one in the lavatory in the rear?

I never thought he was the "sole" bomber either. parsy.

DEBKA is a doubtful source but the hypothesis of a bomb in the rear lavatory should be looked at very carefully.

WND is very much aware of the kind of crap that DEBKA puts out. If WND continues to use DEBKA uncritically as a source, WND should be considered in the same league.

This is close. The flight data recorder revealed a "sharp lurch to the left." If the shoebomb detonated by the wing, the wing could break at the juncture and fold back along the fuselage...not completely severed. once the wing folded back, wind resistance would violently be reduced on the right side of the plane, as the left wing still drags. The plane would turh slightly sideways like a crab walking. (One witness stated the wings seemed to be dipping back and forth.)
Additionally, once the plane was "fishtailing", sidewards air pressure would be placed on the right side ofthe plane including the tail. The tail could have then sheared off as a result.
Mulitple witnesses saw two explosions BEFORE the tail separated. Shoebomb ("half the size of a car" and fuel "a larger one." coincidentally, the NTSB reported that the cockpit voice recorder revealed two "airframe rattles."
This scenario fits known data AND jives with witness testimony.

WorldNutDaily quoting DEBKA. Man...it doesn't seem that far-fetched, but I think I'll wait for someone else to report it.
