Freepers, I want to talk to you all about the staute. I agree with you all that to depict the staute with mullti-racial characters is wrong and politically correct. I, however, have something to tell you all that you will not like.
The truth. What happened. That idiocy.
One, that's a nonsense term created by the PC movement,
Because two, the meaning, the connotation is the same.
Three Americans raising the American flag in the face of adversity was and should be the image. Color and race doesn't mean anything in the power of the message that photograph holds.
To stand back and say, "Wait! We don't have our little quota boxes checked off, we can't let this be," is outrageous in so many ways. It is a stark refusal that we can be a united society we people look at a picture and say look at those wonderful fellow Americans. It is a demand that says look three white men can only be oppressive, it isn't right unless we have a black, a hispanic, and then be forced to include a white.
That act breaks us down in little groups spitting at each other and it denies efforts, desire, and belief in a united America.
That's what you call a "show stopper," isn't it? We say something, they say we're racist and that's suppose to be the end of the discussion, right?
I don't want any type of race problem in America to boil over.
If, and that's a big if, if it boils over, it will be because THEY want it to.
Are you saying that we should DENY THE TRUTH just so those fools won't call us bigots?
I am not afraid of diversity. THEY are afraid of the truth.
I called a buddy of mine last night, who is very liberal, and I asked him what he thought. He said he was all for the diversity. In his words, he said, "What are people going to think, 50 years from now, when they see three white guys putting up the flag?" I said, "the truth!"
Its amazing... that type of thinking never even entered my mind. When I saw the three firemen in the first picture I didn't look at their ethnic background, religion, or gender. I looked at three brave firefighters, facing horrendous odds, putting up old Glory. How could you not honor that spirit!
How long will we ignore the truth, so that people aren't offended?
And why we are at it, why isn't there a woman, a native American, an Asian, or a middle eastern person represented?I mean if we're talking diversity, why not a lesbian, or homosexual?... Where do we stop?!!!
The whole thing is sad.
If one is afraid of being called a name and thus embraces falsehoods in order to avoid it, he is a coward.
I want to tell you all this. The world many you known 40-60 years ago are gone and can't come back. We live in a radical multiracial-cultural America and it can't be stopped for progressing further as such. Diversity is now the norm. Diversity is the popular view of the new millennium. California is the future of America racially. You all saw the pro-multi-racial commercials with non-whites proclaiming their American-ness. Businesses know they can get paid promoting diversity. Many of your descendants in the future will not look Anglo or European any way. You all have 48 years left for being the dominant group. Buchanan is telling you all the truth. Every black American knows your time, as the main group will be up. More diversification of white history will continue. There is nothing that you all can do to stop it. If you do try to stop it… well, I think you all know what the government will do to you if you oppose.
This is crap, of course. I do not have to accept someone else's version of history just to please them. If they call me a racist, so be it. But that's how the Soviets and the Nazis twisted history: by way of the airbrushed photograph and the historic lie.
The Government that you are so afraid of is problematic, to be sure, but I will bet that this is going to be such a stinkeroo that the city and state authorities will run from this in a New York minute, so to speak.
I am not afraid of a multiracial America. That is where we are headed, and as long as the Constitution and faith in God is our lodestar, then we shall be all right. If black posters on Black World are calling us "peckerwoods", that's their problem. I do not need their approval of my opinion to stand against a historic lie.
Fear the government if you wish. Fear the opinions of the race-baiters and the liberal fascists if you so desire. Just don't come here and demand that we do.
