Ya know. If we stop watching their sickcoms, stop patronizing their sponsors, maybe the attitude would change a bit...

They can try what they will. Whether family fare or not, when it comes to "new" TV shows there is nothing new under the sun!

Yes, but who among us who can read without moving their lips watches it anymore?

Others seem to be noticing that there is a reason not to watch, eh? :-)

Good observation. That peacock is looking more like a Fox all the time.
Bernard Goldberg addresses the reality that the moguls at the networks are bottom-liners in Bias. It's his way of explaining why there aren't more black and colored characters on network shows. It's amazing how Bernie's book -- badly edited as it is -- really, really gives you a window into the world of the alphabet asylum.

NBC not Family-friendlyIs there a network that is? I admit I don't watch a whole lot of TV either, but I do watch the History Channel, the Learning Channel, Discovery, A&E, and my sports.

One question. Why do people even watch television, especially network television? Isn't there something else you can do?
To: P8riot
It's like the old style communists in the old Sovet Union and the fart that runs Cuba. Too rooted in their ways to even notice that their empires are crumbling around them and the dogs who serve them are too afraid to tell them otherwise.
It will be interesting to see who absorbs NBC in the next two years.

Like I mentioned in my first statement. We haven't even had a TV in the 10 years we've been married (purely by choice), and to tell you the truth we don't miss it either. It's amazing how peaceful things are around the house, and how much time we have for one another.
