Jimmy from Brooklyn call to Matt Drudge

Did anyone happen to hear a call from Jimmy from Brooklyn to Drudge? He said that just as the commies infiltrated the Catholic religion with liberation theology, the Russians have done the same with fundamentalist Islam.

He then proceeded to read a sentense from an unsourced commie publication as evidence which said that subverting fundamentalist Islam is the perfect answer to capitalism.

Next thing you know, he was cut off. Did anyone hear this, and can you shed any light on this?

About his assertion--I had read as much in the Soviet Intelligencer.

I am concerned that Drudge thought this was too hot to handle.

I know Jimmy's calls and know him to be very knowledgeable and not a crank caller and not a bigot in any way immaginable.

So my biggest concern focuses on Drudge.

(Was the assertion that the Russians infiltrated fundamentalist Islam and made it even more anti-Western, and thus that they are partially to blame for the current situation? Or was the assertion that one weapon the Russians were using to fight fundamentalist Islam was to infiltrate it and dilute it, poison it, etc.?)

We had a guy here that was always calling talk shows with his theory that Ronald Reagan and Steven King killed John Lennon. I wonder what ever happened to him…

It makes total sense, I'm surprised that no one thought of it before. Let's go back to the time period that communism/soviet-style communism was created, and see if that corresponds with the rise of militant Islam, especially the anti-American/Western variety.

well, it's a known fact the KGB was basically running the Russian Orthodox Church and that it has inserted itself in the Catholic Church--esp. in Latin America.
