Alas, poor Buddy Clinton. We knew him well, both as presidential companion and political metaphor.

The former first dog was killed by a car shortly after noon Wednesday, struck on a busy road near his master's home in Chappaqua, N.Y. Local police released the information yesterday.

The dog once tripped the president during a photo-op session on the White House lawn and accidentally scratched Mr. Clinton during a tumble in the ocean.

"...."He just darted out. The Secret Service brought him in to the Chappaqua Animal Hospital"

So let me see if I understade the situation here...... The clintons go on vacation. They are not required to board their dog at a kennel like the "great unwashed masses" do. While they are away, we taxpayers all chip in to have the secret service babysit? Makes me want to know if we are also paying for the clinton's housekeeping and cooking and yard maintenance, etc.

Hillary got hit by a car? Can't be. It takes way more to kill a witch.

I love dogs...cats too for that matter....but the coverage BILL CLINTON is getting over this dog's death, is disgraceful! Enough already! Everyone knows Buddy's dead...Everyone knows "Bill and Hillary are saddened" NOT!

The following is REAL news, and really sad.

Widow of C.I.A. Officer Slain in Afghanistan Dies
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Filed at 12:08 p.m. ET
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Five weeks after CIA officer Johnny ``Mike'' Spann was killed in Afghanistan, his ex-wife died of cancer, leaving their two young daughters as orphans.

Kathryn ``Cissy'' King, who grew up in the northwest Alabama town of Guin, died Friday and was buried in suburban Washington, D.C. She was 30.

King and Spann, a native of Winfield, divorced several years ago and both remarried. Their daughter Alison was 9 and Emily was 4 when their father was killed Nov. 25 during an uprising of Taliban prisoners in Afghanistan. He is the only American to die at the hands of the enemy there.

Spann also had a 7-month-old son with his second wife, Shannon.

After Spann was killed, King ``was upset about Mike, very upset, and she wanted to be at the funeral for the girls. But ... she was not strong enough to attend,'' said Pam Bozeman, a close friend of King's.

Spann's parents plan to raise the girls, Bozeman told The Birmingham News."

Bad owners. I’ve owned dogs for over 50 years and never has one of them been hit by a car.
