MIAMI (AP) -- Talk show host Rosie O'Donnell hosted a $250 per person fund-raiser Sunday for Janet Reno, the former U.S. attorney general and a Democratic candidate for governor.

``When I heard that she was running I called up her office and told her I would do any and everything I can,'' O'Donnell said.

O'Donnell was hoping to raise $50,000 for Reno, one of five Democrats attempting to unseat Gov. Jeb Bush.

Asked about her chances of defeating Bush, Reno said bluntly: ``I'm going to win.''

Both Reno and O'Donnell, a foster parent, said they shared a commitment to helping children.

``It's a big problem in the state of Florida. There are over 3,000 children today available for adoption, free for adoption in the state, in foster custody,'' O'Donnell said. ``Chances are they will age out of the system, they will go right into welfare and into prison, so we need to do better for this generation of kids.''

The comedian owns a home on Miami Beach's Star Island, a gated community of mansions along Biscayne Bay. The closed event was held at a private home.

Analysts said the appearance with O'Donnell could pose problems for Reno when she attempts to court voters in areas heavily composed of gun owners, sportsmen and military personnel.

``Anything that connects Reno to gun control means Democrats lose big in north Florida,'' said Susan MacManus, a political scientist at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

Why do these celebrities continue to think anyone cares about their political views.

I doubt that $250 per plate will cover the food bill when these two porkers and their friends get together.

"Ann Bishop was Reno's girlfriend?! Not an easy trick to pull off, but she was just about as ugly as Reno is. Sort of looked like a bulldog"

Actually, my semiretired bricklayer uncle Bob, about same height, same build, looks more "feminine" than Jackboot Janet!

On the positive side, its good to know that US soliders, like the one in the photo, are now in Afghanistan trying to kill bin Laden, rather than intimidating little Elian and his family.

Those were NOT soldiers! They were federal agents from the dept of Immigration and Naturalization playing "dress-up".

Rosie and Janet are in an elevator at the Florida State House. On the third floor Jeb Bush gets in and looks perfect -- 3-piece suit, great build, nice b*tt. The bad part is they both noticed Jeb had dandruff. Jeb got off on the 5th floor. Once the doors closed, Rosie turned to Janet and said, "Someone should give him Head & Shoulders."

To which Janet replied, "I worked in the Clinton administration but how do you give Shoulders?"

This is actually GOOD news. All the Democratic support and personal time that can be put behind Janet ("the Just") Reno, should go there. The best outcome would be for the former head of the Department of Obstruction of Justice to win the Democratic nomination.

Then, Jeb Buch will squash her like a cockroach in the corner in the general election. (I believe he is a lock to win reelection regardless of his opponent. But the result is most obvious if Jell-o Janet, the ethically shaky candidate, is the nominee against him.)

So, go to it, Rosie. Every minute you waste for Reno in Florida is a minute you won't spent eslewhere, where you might actually harm the chances of a better-qualified candidate than your chosen lib-Dem.

Rosie likes Butch figures that use their power to incinerate men, women and children ... and send little boys to communist regimes at gunpoint. Party on, Rosie!

Oh ha ha ha ha ha! Did she think of adopting any of these troubled children before they "age out" of the system before she bought, I mean er, adopted her perfectly healthy caucasian newborns. I think she adopted one troubled child and it was AFTER she had adopted 3 healthy newborns.

Well, I'd hope to God that anything that connects Reno to incinerating men, women and children would be bad politically. Of course, when it comes to Palm Beach, all bets are off. But I would hope the rest of the state has enough sense to toss this child-killer onto the ash heap of history.

Especially ASD'ers (Anti Self-Defense)

MPPGV's anti-gun convenion in Michigan $45 for MMM'ers or MPPGV members. $65 for non members.

As for our group. $7 for members. $27 for non-members, and's because it is for members only. The $20 extra gains membership to MCRGO.

They had about 30 people. We had 500. Whose side is for the average Joe and Jane Smith.

Nope. That military-dressed figure is not a member of a traditional branch of the military. He is part of the standing army. He's either an INS gestapo ... or from one of the other alphabet soup police agencies. Welcome to Amerika!
