China continued to supply arms to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terrorist even after the group began the September 11 attack on America, says a senior U.S. official.
The official said that a week after the terrorist attack, the ruling Taliban and the al Qaeda fighters embedded among them, received a shipment of Chinese-made SA-7 missiles. The shoulder-fired anti-aircraft weapons are similar to the U.S. Stinger.

Ummm... because the Taliban was the only thing that passed for a "government" on one of their border countries? Sort of like when the United States recognized and signed agreements with the Kosovans. It has more to do with trying to mold policy than it does with making friends or extending status.
Please see reply #38.
Cohen the father of the neutron bomb has written that red mercury can be used to make baseball sized neutron bombs for suitcase weapons. That is his science and not his speculation. Cohen also reported that red mercury had been found in Iraq by UN weapons inspectors.
that kind of policy is one that only our enemies would try to mold...
There sure are a lot of denials and excuses interwoven with attacks on the messengers--classic propaganda tactics.
Personally, I withold final judgment of this posters intentions and point of view, but at the moment that's how I see it...

OBL mentioned "China" specifically in the videotape .... There are also rumors that OBL has escaped into Pakistan and was trying to flee to Beijing.
The ChiComs are very cleverly hiding their international spying, money laundering and weapons sale operations. They keep pretending that all they want is to sell manufacured goods, raise their standard of living, and get along with the rest of the world. I don't believe that propaganda for a minute.
OBL's action plan for terrorist attacks on the U.S. allegedly had three stages. Stage I: World Trade Center attack, attack on White House and Air Force One and Pentagon bombing. Stage II: Unfolding of many terror attacks across the U.S. (e.g. nuclear power plants, water supplies). Stage III: Plans are unknown but they might include the discharge of an EMP weapon to disable all communications and set the stage for other very serious attacks.
please answer me that...
If I am not mistaken, the rest of the world recognized the Taliban as a legitimate government. Remember also that hindsight is 20/20. We after all used to have normal trading relations with Iraq (and I am not suggesting that you would have a double standard for U.S. and other country's relations around the world).
The line I am trying to forward is an objective one. I can't help it if that treads on people sensibilities and unabashed - and blinding - hatred of China.
I have been boycotting Chinese products since Tiananmen Square. The Recon plane incident was another reminder. And how about those human rights abuses?
The dates are correct regarding the deal. As for boycotting Chinese products, you don't mention the best reason - because it help keep Americans working. As for you other points:
- Tiananmen is not as reported on CNN or other newscasts. To much detail to go into. PBS program NOVA had a very good documentary on the entire incident.
- the Recon plane incident, other than their flyer running into us, was certainly nothing to lose any sleep over. A much bigger deal was made of this in the U.S. than should have been. The Chinese were justified in holding the air crew - which was very well treated by the way. We would have done exactly the same and did when a Russian Mig was forced to land in Japan I think it was (we dismantled the Mig and returned it to the Russians in boxes).
- As for human rights abuses, remember part of that debate is China's treatment of Muslim fanatics in Western China. I think by now we all recognize that China has the same problem as we have - and then some - regarding that region of the world.
Here is a first hand account from the book by Jan Wong.
This statement pretty much clears up any confusion as to your credibility, loyalty and personal agenda. Thanks!
I hate to bring it up, as some see it as a cause celebre for Hollywood dilettantes, but if anyone wants to see the true nature of the PRC one only has to look at Tibet. Numerous scholars, Tibetan and otherwise, have thouroughly debunked the Chinese claim that Tibet was ever a part of China in all of history. At one time in fact much of China was overrun and ruled by Tibet. (Maybe one of Songsden Gompos warriors is your great great granddaddy, BJung.)Yet since 1950 China has claimed it as its territory, killed 2 1/2 to 3 million Tibetans, tortured and imprisoned a million more and moved an equal number of Chinese to Tibetans into the country. In the eastern regions of Tibet, known as Amdo and Khams, China refuses to even recognize them as part of their 'Autonomous Region of Tibet'. (Which is just a pseudonym for "That Which We Stole".)
The atrocities there rival what Hitler perpetrated and have gone on for 51 years unimpeded. Tibet was sold out by the west. Most particularly Britain who felt their control in India was threatened by China. Neru sold them out as well for his fear of China. Russia also stepped aside not wanting to ruffle China's feathers.
There is still a hard fought guerilla war going on in Amdo and Khams but few would know it. Most western press just sucks up the Peking line which barely admits that there ever was resistance there.
But to get back to the point, although it was Mao's China that invaded Tibet nothing has changed except for the worse. The PRC continues to hold the Tibetan people hostage in their own country denying them the most basic of human rights and forcing horrible indignities on them. Their main purpose there is to establish communications and missile bases on the "Rooftop of the World". From there they can cover most of Asia, India and the Arab world and not a little of the former Soviet States with first strike capabilities using relatively low-grade missiles. They have already stripped the forests and are still busy pillaging the abundant mineral resources.
This is the China of the PRC. Liars, thugs, murderers, perverts, theives and rapists with dreams of world domination. They hardly treat the Chinese people any better. If that's not enough they've openly published several threats to nuke U.S. cities if we continue support for Taiwan.
Yeah, you bet! I'll give 'em the benefit if the doubt on their dealings with Al Quaeda. Why would they possibly want to see the Arabs and the West tear into each other? How would it benefit China to have the worlds economy shredded? They are so dependant on us, right? Barbara Streisand! They are third world and internally unstable. The easiest way to the top is to have the rest of the world collapse. And make money selling everybody the tools of their own destruction.
They treated our air crew good!?! Like I said last spring:
NUKE BEIJING!!! NOW!
Frankly, my friend, if the U.S. wants to get serious about ending terrorism we should take out the PRC next and work our way down the list. I think the list would start shrinking fast before we even finished with them.

You write "NUKE CHINA NOW" and you question my credibility!
