Thanks for responding... my (late) first wife & I honeymooned there in 1974, and it was nearly gun-free... what they did have were scores of knifings, axings, machete attacks, blunt instruments, and the all-time favorite, straight razors....
You saw lots of people with great keloid scars on face and forearms....
I guess in the interim the black market for firearms has thrived, as you would expect.
Pass it on!

Tina Terry must be a liar.
We all know damn well that if someone had kicked in her door at night with the intent of robbing, raping and killing poor Tina, a Jamacian police officer would have shown up just in time and saved the day.
With that in mind its obvious she didn't need a gun.
I like Hillary and I like BaBa Boxer and I like Chuckie Schumer and I like Sarah Brady. They are my hero's!!!!!!!!
I feel sooooo safe knowing that theying are in the Senate defending our way of life. They make me proud to be an American.
I want to be just like them.
Sarcasm off.

Heck, there are parts of the U.S. I don't like to travel to because the law-abiding portion of the citizenry has been largely disarmed. I'm darn sure not going to a place like Jamaica!

Yes, great point. I sensed no sensationalism in her writing. Her style of repetativeness hints at her sincerity...alomst as tough she doesn't believe that readers would understand, or that she is/was shocked by the whole affair that she thought others needed to be
quite clear as to what she felt.
Couple of years ago, I took a vacation to Jamaica. The resort had exceptionally tight security. It put a damper on the whole trip.

I read of the "success" of gun control in Jamaica in the last issue of the NRA's "America's First Freedom" magazine.
Scary, very scary indeed!

When are the Sheep in all of these countries going to finally stand up? As My father used to say - "You can't fix stupid & every Liberal I ever met, was Stupid!"
WHO TO DIAL WHEN IN TROUBLE

Not
quite positive as to the reference to the 'Ladies' on this post....as far as I'm concerned, my Wife is the best shot of anyone, male -or- female, that I know.
We've both taken the prescribed 'Gun Safety' Course as delegated by the local 'State Officials' for each of us to get our 'Carry Permits'.
...although...the truth be known - I've yet to understand how any government agency has any authority to 'Regulate' a Right as is verified by the United States' Constitution !! !! !!
Driving an automoble is a "Privilege" and, may be regulated, I guess.
But, the ownership of a firearm (if an American Citizen so chooses)
Is a RIGHT !! !! !!
If we fail in fighting for that particular 'Right', we all run the risk of being labeled "...government-disarmed, sitting-duck, law-abiding citizens and expatriates...".
