Bump for Enduring Freedom.

Thanks for the post.
The Carrier with "FREEDOM" spelled out by the crew is awesome!
Did anyone have Tine Turner come to mind when they saw this, or is it just me needing sleep?

Tine = Tina. Guess I do need sleep

Osama bin Laden is "either dead in some tunnel, or he's alive," Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said. "If he's alive, he's either in Afghanistan or he isn't," Rumsfeld said at a Pentagon briefing today.
But, the secretary said, the point is "it does not matter. We'll find him one day."
When Ridge said similar words a few weeks ago, he was candid enough to say, under his breath and out of the hearing of TV cameras, "We hope".

CIA officer Mike Spann, in this undated family photo, is the first American known to be killed in combat in Afghanistan. Johnny ``Mike'' Spann, 32, who entered the Marine Corps and then joined the CIA in June 1999, was killed in action during a prison riot at Mazar-e-Sharif. His body was recovered Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 the CIA said, without providing details on the circumstances of Spann's death. (AP Photo/Family Photo via the CIA)

I love seeing photos of Afghan horses, especially when their riders are playing goatball. They remind me of the steeds in those heroic paintings of long-ago battles. Fiery, wild eyes, flaring nostrils and flying manes.
So many of the photos you post, Diogenesis, are like paintings. Thanks for all your labors of love.

I don't see your connection to Tina Turner....GO TO BED!...LOL
To: MurryMom
Rumsfield has core principles for which he will fight; Ridge doesn't.
To: MurryMom
Clue in here, mom. It doesn't matter whether OBL is dead or alive as long as his army is dismantled and defunded.
