Muslim fail to confront challenges of modern life

SIMPLY STATED, the Muslim world has failed to confront the challenges of modern life. And as a result, many Muslims have lashed out, with the strong in Muslim societies abusing the weak. In Afghanistan under the Taliban, vulnerable subgroups like women and ethnic minorities have faced oppressive intolerance. In Iraq, government abuse of the general populace is overt and brutal. In Pakistan, repeated attempts to implement democracy have been foiled by widespread corruption: Political leaders loot the national coffers and democracy fails. The result is that Islamic civilization is in ruins. And for devoted Muslims, this is an excruciating reality.

It seems like the problem is this 'religion' combined with illiteracy.
That with a large mixture of credulity & stupidity thrown in.
Not to mention a desire to maim & kill complete strangers for no good reason.

Wonderful! Then this cadre of Muslim superpeople can surely return to their benighted nations and create a new United States of Muslimania or whatever they wish to call it. Cut this sterling example of political correctness some slack.
She can't wrap her mind around the reality that all these good qualities are evident because they are here, not because they are Muslim
In the US the most pathetic cult can thrive because exploitation is not a national pastime.

" All the Muslims i know in North America have done a better job of meeting the challanges of "modern live""The Muslims who immigrate to America do not share the distain that most Muslims have for everything "Western".
Most Muslims would do no better in America than the Amish or ghetto youths who don't adapt to our culture.

It is hard not to be biased. Take any form of endeavor - sport, art, science, agriculture, industry, technology, government........ war even, - and Western civilization has excelled. What has the Muslim world produced? Omar Sharif!
And, of course, hate, violence and death.
It is very hard not to be biased toward a movement that has yet to master the complexities of indoor plumbing.

When you find yourself making negative and/or hurtful statements about another group of folks, what does that say about you? What are you about? Hurting people. There is the little matter of the fact that thousands of our people have recently been *hurt*, and everyone of them by muslims. What does that say about you?

It says something about OBL and his terrorist group, that's all. If the attacks reflect negativity on all of the worlds Muslims to you, then it says something about you.Haven't you seen pictures of muslim Palestinians cheering in the streets after 9/11 and heard reports of cheering in Egypt and elsewhere? Some muslim leaders have expressed a sort of sympathy but by-and-large the muslim outcry has been deafening in it's silence. Can't you even see what we're mad about, muslim? Are you that blind? Do you think this is like Clinton as president and Bush will just go bomb another aspirin factory in Sudan plus a useless strike in Afghanistan and call it quits? No way, you've miscalculated entirely.

What has the Muslim world produced? Algebra, astronomy, literature, medicine, architecture.
However, in the past 500 years, nothing.

Well, after you study islam and their leaders, you will come to understand why there is this "attitude" toward muslims in the FR. Check the archives to see what islam really represents abroad and, unfortunately, here in the US. If you think for one minute that islam is a religion of peace, you are sadly uninformed.

so this bias that you admit to has no basisSure it has a basis. It is rooted in the fact that Islam is nothing but moronic, dogmatic tripe which produces only cultural constipation and its twin offspring, poverty and hate.
Now, I say that is fact. You would say its opinion. Unfortunately for you I am right. And that's a fact. However, if poverty and hate, filth and fleas, death and destruction, represent your philosophical and theological aspirations, then, well, maybe I could be wrong.
But the Muslim world still has not mastered the art of indoor plumbing.
