-SNIP-Ominously, the Abu Dhabi series reflects the mainstreaming of anti-Semitism across the Arab world. Saudi Arabian and Egyptian TV are debating whether to air a 30-part miniseries, "Horseman Without a Horse," which is based on the debunked canard "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion," an early 20th century hoax by the Russian czar's secret police that purported to reveal a Jewish plan to dominate the world. The book, a virtual prescription for genocide, has been invoked by every Jew hater from Adolf Hitler to Louis Farrakhan. THE REST HERE ...

This poor newbie thinks he is the universal ruler of the meaning of words.
That is a twisted view, to say the least. But it appears none of my posts seem to affect your sense on this. I seriously doubt you're reading my responses to you, with the exception of scanning for "key words" to reply to so you look slick. Whatever. Have fun fabricating whatever "truth" you wish.
Hehe. So did I at first. Guess he hit my mean streak with that "invented" stuff.
Non responsive response from Ridin' Shotgun (change the topic):If it was the RUSSIANS who purportedly revealed this plan, why are you screaming at Americans instead of Russians.
Rant from Ridin' Shotgun on Its the Jews fault & perhaps predicting a future American pogrom? : Amazing, isn't it. Somehow your people managed to tick off the Germans and the Russians, and now somehow it seems that you're terrified that Americans might also become ticked off, but none of you are willing to openly and honestly debate what it WAS that so ticked off these other nations.
Further rant on its the Jews faulr: I, for one, do NOT believe it was the regular, average German or Russian Jew that created these 'pograms', it was the Zionist idiology behind the scenes, vigorously supported by the average Jewish guy and gal on the street, that turned these people against ALL things Jewish. Kneejerk, backlash ... And yes, it IS happening
On THE SPOTLIGHT?/American Free Pressand stomping the centipedes: Yep, they do all those stories about radical envionmentalists, and agricultural issues, and Congressional issues, and bankers, and constitutional rights being lost, etc. etc. etc., but it's all really just a 'cover' for their REAL agenda, right? Get a grip. If you turn over a rock and there are a dozen centipedes under it, are you supposed to stomp all but one of them? AFP attempts to uncover and stomp them all.
If you're suggesting he walks and talks like a duck, you're probably right.
You are so right. No need to wait until they have preheated the crematoria.
Anti-Semites use your argument to imply that there is no such hatreds. That argument is only a step away from them denying the Holocaust.
EXACTLY! Now follow me here. The word, this specific word "antisemitism" was coined by an anti-Jewish racist organization to justify or "make pretty" the existance of anti-jewish politics. Can we agree on that? If that is so, is the word still being used in this manner? Well, on our side, no. But on their side, yes, in fact, it is. Now ask yourself, why would somebody create such a word that can be used in such a dual manner?
Better yet, ask yourself this question in regards to a different word, "Assault Weapon". Both sides of the gun issue use about the same definition (with exceptions), namely that nice little semi-auto that "looks nasty". But that is not an assault weapon. It doesn't have select fire, for one. Some of the more intelligent gun organizations have picked up on this and regularly condemn the use of this word. Now, why would they do this? Because everybody accepts the wrong definition carte blance. And the "evil" side profits from this definitional confusion.
On a note not directed at you whatsoever, I cannot believe that I have to keep explaining this point to others here. There is so much mob mentality at work that it is almost frightening to observe.
Aren't you supposed to blow a whistle or something so we know to duck? ;-)
C-c-can't we just all get along? You two have the identical FR birthdays: 2/16/2000. Are you twins?
I don't know if you have noticed what is going on here, but your little croquet match has turned into a knife fight -- and you are standing in the middle of it. If you don't want to join the fight, stand clear.
You're missing, that is doesn't matter.
By common usage, it means what it means.
Those that argue it, are not arguing what it means, but that the concept behind the meaning is illegitimate.
We both know irrational hatred of Jews exists. Today that is called anti-Semitism.

That is sound advice.
I don't know if you (or anyone else for that matter) has noticed, but I am not defending the racists whatsoever, and am in fact distancing myself from them. I'm just not fond of being grouped with them, period, and nobody seems to be making any distinctions or noting that I repeatedly stress that I am pro-Israel. But as you say, perhaps best to withdraw and let the parties involved duke it out.
LJ reminds me of someone I used to be VERY close to. He is stuck on minutiae and clouds the issue with his superior knowledge and use of language, his "correctness" in slamming everyone else over their stupidity, but lacks common sense.

First, I've neither called nor implied (to my knowledge) that anybody is stupid. If something I've said has been seen in this light, then I appologize for obviously not wording my arguments correctly and misleading you or anyone else. Obviously I should have paid closer attention to my words if this is the case.
Second, I've "slammed" nobody, and have only raised my wording in regards to those who struck first with personal attacks or name calling.
Third, it appears my argument is falling on deaf ears (not your own, but everyone else here who has made up their mind that I'm wrong and refuse to read my posts beyond "key words"). I could write a post proclaiming that water is wet and have most everybody here call me everything except late for dinner.
And now, displaying that common sense you say that I do not have, I am going to sit back and let those in the knife fight duke it out.
sorry to disillusion you but many White people are Anti-Caucasian. . . they are called liberals LOL

ROFLMAO, Classic I tell you, just Classic! lol
I'm still waiting for LJ to tell us his opinion of the article and its subject. He's gotten bogged down on word usage, but I still don't know what his stand is on the subject.
