The Hague - About hundered protesters, radical muslims and a handfull neo-nazi's, started a demonstration against the state of Israel at 14.30 hours (CET). They gathered at the Malieveld in Den Haag (The Hague)
It is an annual protest taking place on the last friday of the islamic ramadan. The protesters start at the Malieveld, proceed to the Binnenhof (where the Dutch governement is located) to the place in front of the Tweede Kamer (the Dutch highest goverement body). The protesters were displaying flags and sheets with Arabic texts and some Dutch texts, like "Israel childkillers". Neo-nazi frontman E. Horman from Groningen walks along the protest with an Arabic flag.
The deceased Iranian ayatollah Khomeiny had instructed some time ago that these annual protests against "the west" should be held in respect to the "Day of the oppressed". In the years before, the protests were mostly peacefuly. Until the beginning of the protest friday there were no incidents reported.

The Hague - About hundered protesters, radical muslims and a handfull neo-nazi'sA handfull of neo-nazi's? Why is this even news? I could walk down the street in any large city and find a handfull of crackpots in less than 15 minutes. When the crowds start hitting the thousands, then you got yourself some news, until then, it's just a handfull of kooks.

Not if 13 procent of your country population is muslim! (Yes, we got about 1,500,000 muslims). And growing even after 9/11. Even Bin Laden mentioned the Netherlands in his recent tape. He said there was a sharp increase in people becoming muslim after 9/11 in Holland.

The thing that I've never understood is the kinship between neo-nazi/white supremacist groups and anti-jewish middle easterners. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that if the nazi agenda were instituted, swarthy complected semitics of all religeous stripes would fill death camp landfills. I never saw a blonde haired, blue eyed aryan arab and my intuition tells me I never will.

Every country has thier nuts and morons so don't feel ashamed because this very small group has a spotlight on your country at this particular time. If you ever become an American you will get the same embarrassment due to people like David Duke (NAZI/Klansmen), Al Sharpton (bigotted racist), and close to the crowd in this artical Lois Farrakhan (Nation of Islam - NAZI muslems). The Dutch people have just to many people to be proud of to let garbage like this dirty it's image. It's X-mas time, think of people like "Hans Brinker" and his silver skates.

They're "kinship" as you put it, is simple: both hate Jews!

You may have to revise your "deny no honest man entry" immigration laws to exclude Muslims with the exception of the Turks they are a virus.

I could have sworn that I read that 90(something)% of the Dutch were behind us in our war on terrorism. Am I mistaken?

Even Bin Laden mentioned the Netherlands in his recent tape. He said there was a sharp increase in people becoming muslim after 9/11 in Holland. Is there any truth to his statement? I read a story in the Boston Globe that said something similar happened here, but I had a hard time believing it.
I suppose there were a few left-wing loonies, like our Johnny Taliban, that might have an attraction to a religion which is perceived as being anti-American.

During WWII in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo....muslims living there, sided with the nazis against the SERBS, JEWS and ROMAS(Gypsies)...Yes, nazis and muslims are kindred folk then and NOW!!!!
There were Albanian-muslim-nazi divisions in Kosovo who assisted the nazis in deporting Serbian Orthodox Christians, Jews and even Muslim Romas to nazi concentration camps.
The same was true in Bosnia.
Croatia,a predominately Roman Catholic area, and a willing ally of hitler, had their "little muslim brothers" as they called them, to assist them in their own nazi-style concentration camps and used them also help them fight the ANTI-NAZI Chetniks(Yugoslavian regulars) and the Partisans( communists). The Croatian nazis killed hundreds of thousands of Serbs, tens of thousands of Jews, Romas and non-nazi Roman Catholics.

We are close friends with Israel, but these "protests" make me ashamed to tell you people I am Dutch... I have long felt that being an American had less to do with geography than with committment to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
So, having read your profile, I think you can call yourself American. Good luck and God Bless, and God Bless the Netherlands!

It should be no surprise these two groups can protest together since the have the same basic beliefs. You might say they're joined at the butthole.

I am a citizen of a country that elected Clinton to the Presidency twice and then made her a Senator.
Every country has its bad side.
