A Freeper's observation: making a social or political agenda law at any cost, including violence.

HOWDY FREEPERS

You know, folks it's a good thing that I do not have Jesse Jackson jr. or his kind as a Congressional representive or any kind of representative for that matter because I would be very embarrassed at the disgusting and outrageous way he responded to what I and I'm sure most Americans felt was a legitimate concern expressed by Rev. Jesse Peterson concerning Jesse Jackson's agenda earlier this week.

This essay is of course in reference to this article. All Rev. Peterson did was express concern about people who disagreed politically with the special political agenda of the Rev. Jackson being locked out of economic opportunities. The violent reaction that Rev. Peterson got to this expression of concern seems to indicate to me that it's just fine to lock those who choose not go along with the liberal, progresive, moderate, social and political agenda out of any and all economic opportunities. Well, that may be ine with some people but, IT IS NOT FINE BY ME AND I FOR ONE FIND THE KID GLOVE TREATMENT THAT THE REV. JACKSON IS RECEIVING FROM CNN, ABC, CBS, & NBC AND ALL THE OTHER ESTABLISHED MEDIA TOTTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

This incident has led me to the conclusion that the Democratic party is nothing but a corrupt, sadistic sleazy gang of politicians seeking any and all authority positions so they can missue and abuse it to suit themselves. It is quite obvious that Rev. Jackson and Kennedy and Daschele and their kind do not have the best of intentions at all for this country and will do anything, including violence to impose their own special social and poltical agenda on the people of this country.

The end result of all this is that IMHO you're going to see more and more people reluctantly choose to go to jail rather than give servile obedience to these goons and voluntarily cooperate with their "lawful orders". You DO NOT gain respect by acting like goons the way they acted towards Rev. Peterson at the Toyota meeting in L.A.

And I can assure you people like myself will remember this when we go to the voting booth in 2002. People I've talked to on the street have said to me that they will never vote for another Democrat again after what happened eariler this week at the L.A. Toyota meeting.

"This incident has led me to the conclusion that the Democratic party is nothing but a corrupt, sadistic sleazy gang of politicians...."

And this incident (along with MANY others) has led me to believe that Republicans are the same as Democrats.

I will grant that some Republicans have got a bit too chummy with the Democrats but I would also submit that those people are very few and of the liberal or moderate persuasion. Like John McCain for example.

There's a big difference between the two parties. It isn't too hard to figure that out.
Regards.

Ron Paul is the only elected Republican currently serving in office (at the federal level) that actually reads the Constitution before he votes on legislation. All other elected Republicans are carbon copies of their Democrat counterparts.

There is NO difference between the two major parties. None. Period.

No, it isn't. Unless, of course, you want to have some to B*t*H about, right? Then reason flies out the window and you just stick to YOUR agenda, which is to damage the GOP.

Any idea why Bush invoked Executive Privilage in order to protect Clinton? I have an idea as to the reason he did it but I want to hear your spin on this current event first.

Right and that's what the Rev. Jackson was doing in that article. I read in that press release that Rev. Jackson said that he was put on the "Red squad list" by Attorney General Ashcroft. WHAT RED SQUAD LIST? I think it just goes to show that Rev. Jackson and his type do not know real well how to handle pople questioning his actions.

I can assure you that conservative and Republican organizations would never ever pull these kinds of stunts like this

Well, nobody has ever questioned him before, have they? Nobody dared.

Anyway, he's still mad because he had to turn in his key to the White House gate.

Oh, I'm sure you're dying to hear what I have to say about it. About as much as I am interested in your posts.

I would, however, appreciate you posting the EXACT wording of the EO where it says he's doing it to protect Clinton.

Amen to that. Let me just say here that when people say that both parties are the same, well I'm sorry folks but I don't buy that at all. I registered as a Republican in 1983 when I turned 18. I voted for Reagan in 84 & 88, Bush in 92, Dole in 96 and Bush Jr. in 2000.

I come from a very conservative region of the country. Our party and our cause would never resort to violence when people question what we do. Unfortunately that is not always the case with the Democrats. I'm sure a lot of you have heard about what hppened to those who questioned the actions of the previous administration. I hear stories every day about people who simply have concerns about the liberal agenda and they end up getting beat on and subjected to retribution and all sorts of stuff. Is this the way to win people over to your agenda? I don't think so.

IMHO, Rev. Jackson and his type want nothing but to see this country divided and fighting amongest each other. These people do not have the best of intentions for this country. That's why things like this need to be brought up and addressed. The established media has regrettably taken sides with Rev. Jackson and others so that's why we have Free Republic where we can address these things.

And it makes no difference what skin color you are. You don't win over to your political agenda by resorting to roughhouse tatics and demagougory like this. Rev. Jackson knows this but apparently, he has yet to learn.
Regards.

Thanks to those who have posted on this thought provoking thread.

I'm gonna bump this article one more time for further replies, then it's time for my supper and my bedtime. As I've said before, it makes no difference what skin color you are or what social or political agenda you have. You don't win people over by doing what Jesse Jackson did to Rev. Peterson. I've a feeling this is going to cost the Democrats very dearly in 2002.
Regards.
