Good post, but I don't understand the situation. What are the rules? Condit needs_____? valid signatures to qualify. If he doesn't have them, then he has to ante up $_____ ?. So the rules say you can buy your way onto the ballot? Please elucidate. Thanks.

.Instead ...CONDIT has fired his Defense Attorney ABBE LOWELL after he stated publically that CONDIT would comply with this D.C. Grand Jury Subpoena ...and has hired TV Talking Head Defense Attorney MARK GERAGOS who is currently "Discussing" with Authorities whether CONDIT will comply or not.

In other words, if you are a demoRAT, you can decide whether or not to comply with a grand jury subpoena? What's up with this? Could any of us choose not to? Lawyers out there, could we?
