"Sucked off the Poor..."? Because she worked for the Government? Well, gosh - I guess that makes me the same. I was a civilian employe for DOD - for 13 almost 14 years. I guess by your definition then every man and woman who has served in the military or is currently serving in the military is sucking off the poor.

Civilian employees, for the most part work hard, just as hard as and sometimes harder than a lot of non-federal workers.

What if it were your mother, wife, sister, or daughter that had been mauled or raped or beaten by a sexual predator. They could have been anyone of those women that Clinton abused. Wouldn't you want someone to come forward and verify that these things had happened and maybe put a stop to it?

I believe that what Linda did took guts and was very unselfish. I pray that if I came across a similar situation that I would do the same thing.

"Enough with the silly "reducto ab absurum" argument. I've heard it all.I am sick to death of government drones. Be they Tripp or others.Let them all get real jobs."

Real jobs, real jobs, why you(expletive deleted several times over)self-righteous, santimonious little man!

There are people who are willing to put in 80 or more hours a week to keep this government and country going, whether it is the DOD employees, the military, the secretaries, managers, janitors and yes, even the President. Whether in the Federal, State or Local communities, these civil servants put up with a lot of pure crap, innuendo, and undeserved verbal abuse from people like you.

They are just like everyone else - they have homes, cars, children, husbands, wifes and debt. They go to their jobs whether they like it or not to put food on the table and clothes on the families backs. They pay the same taxes that you do. The benefits you are crying about aren't any better or any worse than any other large business. Their children aren't any smarter or any dumber than anyone elses.

The salaries that they draw are based on the salaries of the other members of the community (civilian)who do a like or similar job and a lot of times it is less.

Now, sir, you must of course, realize that I am not talking about the members of Congress like your friend Hillary, who vote themselves huge increases every two years and usually a below the cost of living increase for the average worker across the country? Also, like every large business, employees, as they rise in the ranks become better paid. You do understand that don't you?

ROTFL, LNM!! That was a wonderful night and super weekend. Meeting Linda was so nice, she is a very kind person and smart too. I have corresponded with her once since then, but she was very gracious. We were so lucky to have had her here in South Carolina.

Oh yes Jim, I definitely second that. Without her, that could never have been accomplished.

Heard on the radio today that unlike President Bush, who has established his legacy, clinton is still looking for his. Hmmmmm, bet he never finds it - I wonder if he has checked out Mena, maybe he needs to check out the blood banks, it could be there or even...

A lot of firsts that night kristinn, for Linda as well as Charleston. We were very proud to have hosted her and all the Freepers who attended in person or by hook-up over the old FireTalk network.

I'm in. Angelwood, thank you very, very much for doing this.

To Linda Tripp: Thank you for your courage. President Bush defeated VP Gore by the narrowest of margins, thanks partly to Gore's connection with Clinton's crimes. If it had not been for you, I believe we would now have a hand-wringing "Hamlet" in the White House, trying to indict the terrorists before an international court, instead of a great president who is demolishing them on the battlefield. Your sacrifices may not be universally appreciated, but don't imagine that it was all for nothing. You've played your part in the history of our time, and your role was a heroic one that helped leave your country far better off. We love you.

"Had it not been for her courageous stand, the Clintons would've gotten away with a lot more than the silverware." - Jim Robinson

Jim, I wish I'd read your reply before I wrote mine. You said it first and better. You are very correct. Thanks for your support of Linda Tripp!

I am not sure that I have my facts straight, but I think you have to sign something about not writing books when you work in the White House and they would nail her to the wall if that is the case.

I wish that were the case (but doubt it) as it would also nail the xlintoons.

Linda Tripp has always been and will always be my hero. Sent her $$ in the past and will glady do so again!!

You are an 'angel' for doing this!

I'll be delighted to send Linda $100. I usually respond to her appeals, but this latest action against her is too much! I hope, I hope, I hope that Linda is working on that book. I know that Free Republic will be first in line to get copies!

There are many in this country who don't know the real story, or are just coming to an age to understand what Clinton was all about. Clinton would have sailed free - completely - if it wasn't for Linda.

Write that book Linda!

Why has this happened and why hasn't the Bush Administration given her a job, and a very good one. She is a proven patriot. We need to freep W on this right away.

Because she blew the whistle on the Bushies, too.

http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2001/2/12/55616.shtml

"The Bushes have long memories. They know full well it was Linda Tripp who, among others, ratted out the Bush-Jennifer Fitzgerald relationship during the first Bush administration."

Let's hear what she has to say, eh, Linda?

DISMANTLE THE CIVIL SERVICE NOW!

That can't be the case, as any number of former WH people have written books, Steponallofus for example. Seems like Lanny Davis has written a book too, just to think of some recent examples. I sure hope Linda is working on one, it would be a terrific historical document.

While her gossip-mongering may be part of it, to be fair to Bush, there is also another side to the story that needs to be reported...

Feb. 21, 2001

NewsMax.com reports that Linda Tripp said in a radio interview that she doesn't want a job in the Bush White House; expressed disappointment that ex-President Clinton wasn't indicted; said he had several White House girlfriends; expressed her belief that the first lady knew about Monica Lewinsky; and confirmed rumors that Mrs. Clinton ordered staffers not to make eye contact with her.

The exchange between the Sexgate whistleblower and WABC Talk Radio's Sean Hannity lasted for more than an hour and included questions from listeners. On rumors that President Bush had declined to hire her in his administration, Tripp said, "The last thing I want to do is create a nuclear situation for him" by working at the White House. "This is Clinton's dirty laundry. I'm suing the Clinton White House." Despite the absence of a Bush White House job offer, Tripp had only praise for the new president: "President Bush ran on a platform of many things but one was a request to be elected, just to ask the American people to restore integrity and decency and honor to the White House," she said. "I have enormous respect for him."
