I hope we start buying lots of oil from the Russians and then tell these primitive ragheads to, literally, 'pound sand'.

There is an old American phrase that applies here..."Put your money where your mouth is." Right up there with "sh*t or get off the pot." For the Saudis, they had better clean up there own mess. This article is also instructive, because the crap they are concerned with illustrate the lying their media has been putting forth. There has been an AMAZING lack of "persecution" of Moslems and Saudis in this country. Galling to hear this from a country that jails foreigners who have Christian services in their country. Two faced a$$holes.

They're "irritated"? This is the only reason I think we need for a new energy source...just to make sure we have them by the cojones, instead of the way it is now...

Saudis like Ms. Al Sheik speak of their disquiet about the US bombing of Afghani-stan, a poor Muslim country. And you wonder why we don't like Saudis, you bunch of lying lowlife scumbag collaborators.

Image in US irritates Saudis
Yuh-huh. Do you know what irritates
us? Crashing civilian air-craft filled with passengers into our buildings. That really pisses us off.
Get over yourselves you gnarled-up little stumps. We still have some venting to do.

Khaled Al Maeena's really breakin' my heart. And "30 something" Layla: she's got a great future with her American university degree, and now she slams us. What a piece of work.
"...anger and resentment here could strain Saudi support for the US counterterror drive, particularly if it extends beyond Afghanistan."
Uh huh, how are we going to live without them?

There is a deep discomfort here with US criticism of Saudi Arabia and unease about where the US "war on terror" will lead.Good. In the normal course of events, Saudi money buys whatever it wants. They are now in a situation where we don't give a @%$* about their money. They unleashed the monster. And now comes the period of atonement.

Tell the pr*ck to clean up his act, and maybe this won't be a problem.

The Sauds sponsor terrorism no wonder we don't like them.

Nuke Saudi Arabia.

"Just because 15 of 19 of [the Sept. 11 attackers] were Saudi doesn't mean we're all Jack the Ripper."
No, but it means Saudi Arabia is best suited to identify the known Saudi hijackers and then root out every iota of intelligence and use it bring the evildoers (those associated with the hijackers) to justice. So far I haven't seen the overwhelming support they should be rushing to give to clear their name.

Irritation? I'd give them a few more months to get their act together and then drop the hammer on them. They are the chief source of terrorists and the chief source of terrorist funding, and they still aren't cooperating with the investigation, let alone changing their ways.

Let the liberals trust the Islamics, but conservatives know reality. Let the greening of Arabia begin, glass that is.

I wish the Saudis dealt with the hate they foment themselves in their own nation. Christians are in jail in Saudi arabia for practicing, damn it. Subversion of my right to express my anger through a PC campaign or with suicide airliners is no different. The media and the Saudis better cut that out, their actions fall on the total war against America and are illegal.

"In practice, it balances between public sentiment and a very real need to maintain smooth US ties and a US military presence." Like that base we built that they won't allow us to use?
I got your 'military presence' right here.
The plain facts are: these people are not our friends or allies. They support terrorism. And they should be on the short list. I, for one, would like to see a few infidels urinate on the Ka Baa and maybe reduce Medina to ashes.
