There has been a major step up in reports about where Osama Bin Laden is or may be in the last day or two and this leads me to believe that Bin Ladens imminent death is just a day or two away.

I'm inclined to agree with you. That daisy cutter yesterday wasn't dropped in a precise mountain location for nothing.

I believe our brass has known exactly where Bin Laden was for a long time. They were saving the best bang for the last. If he had been creamed weeks ago, the NA's motivation for cleaning out all the vipers' nests would have been diminished.

I, too, have noticed a marked increase in the number of news stories regarding his whereabouts in the last three days. In addition, I have also noticed an increase in the number of stories from Pakistani and other Muslim sources during the same time period claiming OBL is elsewhere. It is as if they are trying to deflect attention away from Tora Bora.

I think the most telling objective fact is the "fierceness" of the resistance being offered, mostly by "foreign" Taliban. Methinks that whatever Arab mercenaries OBL has he has deployed near him for his own immediate personal protection. I don't believe he would scatter those whose loyalty he could count on the most purely for diversionary purposes.

Moreover, if he had fled and left behind his "Praetorian Guard," I doubt even they would fight "fiercely." If OBL fled and left his bodyguards to their fate, word would spread among them rather fast. "Why should we fight when OBL has left?" they would say.
