Environmentalists trying to stop a logging project inadvertently killed many of the woodland critters they were trying to save, including one endangered species of flying squirrel.

The West Virginia Highlands Conservancy trapped animals on land owned by Allegheny Wood Products in Blackwater Canyon to establish that timber harvesting would adversely affect or kill endangered species.

Wonder if any of the en-vi-ro-mentalists are looking at hard time? A farmer who accidently ran over an endangered rat with his tractor would be. What's sauce for the goose. . .

The comnpany SHOULD sell to the state. Immediately after cutting every last marketable piece of timber and mining every last ounce of any ore that may be found on the land. Take the resources and run if that's what the state really wants.

(of course it would be better land use policy for AWP to keep the land and regrow it for harvest in 50-75 years or so but if the state really wants it clear cut and raped then that's what AWP should do. Cant fight city hall and all that stuff.)

AWP also needs to call PETA and turn this group of enviromentalists in. I love watching the left eat it's own.

God Save America (Please)

PV, Nah. I was a GENUINE "individualist" back then. Short hair, soldier, and all. Hey, I'm genuinely sorry about the great laugh I got at your expense this morning when I read your post from last night. But, THANKS!! Peace and love, George.
