President Bush remembered Decemeber 7th by visiting the USS Enterprise at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA where he thanked all of our troops, past and present, for their valued and faithful service to their country. Bush also vowed that we will win the war on terror. Earlier in the day, the President met with Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

LOL, not to mention he told Bawwah Walters that his Mom was "getting up there" in age! Betcha he got taken to the woodshed over that remark! I loved how Walters chided Bush for that remark and he replied "well, they are getting up there". That's what I love about him - he calls it as he sees it and doesn't try to sugarcoat his words. Such a refreshing change, not just from the previous administration, but from politicians in general.

Thanks for the GREAT PICS, Looks like the RATS have lost another supporter, my wife was home today with the flu and she said after watching the democRATS on C-Span today she asked me to find out how she can swith her party affiliation to the Republican Party>
Since I have been a Republican all my life and have no idea how to go about getting info on how to register as a republican, is it done on election day or can I get a registration form at my local GOP headquaters or online? ANY IDEAS

Dec 7th 1941 is important to me. My brother was born two days before Pearl Harbor was bombed. Dad, the first married man in his area, joined the Army in August 1942 leaving behind a wife and an infant son. Dad was a Democrat all of his life, but I feel assured that he would have been solidly behind this president in our war against terrorism and "for" freedom. In honor of a father who served our country in the name of freedom, and a brother who was born on the cusp of a defining moment for free people everywhere, I post tonight. Thank you, rintense.

I saw that Marine in the background of your first picture on FOXNews. His salute is awful, but he is one hard looking devil dog (not as tough looking as me but close). Thanks for these pictures. These threads have become one of my favorite features on FreeRepublic.
May God continue to bless America, our fine and noble President, and the Glorious Corps of American Marines!

You can make the switch at your county court house or your Republican Party office, or do it when you renew your license. I think you can even go online with the Republican Nation Committee, that's how we did it with my daughter.

The Saudi Foreign Minister does NOT look happy to be there. You mean Saud el Faisal-Oil? Maybe Dubya is beginning to let those folks know how things are going to be in the future. After all, many of the terrorists wreaking havoc around the world right now came from Faisal-Oil's OWN COUNTRY!
Thanks, rintense, for the pictures and the ping! I kind of like that tie. Up close it looks as though the design is a golden chain, a red stripe, a stripe which is a strip of white stars outlined in blue and after that the pattern begins again with the red stripe. It looks sort of funky from far away, but nice up close!

ANY IDEASHave her go to your town hall, or wherever you usually register to vote. Don't wait until the next election! In most states, your party affiliation determines in which primary you are allowed to vote during the primaries. If she does it well before the next election, there will be no questions or challenges to her voting.

Yea, but for his sake he should have sugar coated it. His mother is no shrinking violet!!!! I bet she gets back at him for that one!!!

Campbell Brown seemed like SHE needed a cigarette after being on board the aircraft carrier with Bush AND all those sailorsLOL!!!
rintense, thanks for the photos tonight they are awesome. I'm so proud of all our military men and women.
For what it's worth, my dad likes W's tie today. He thought it was something different than the usual blue or red.

BTTT, thanks RWP!

Don't forget the great clintoon invention - "Motor Voter". You can go down to your local DMV and change it there. That's what I did - they had a box where you just put in your registration. No need to wait in the lines, or connect it to getting a new driver's lic.
And, no, I didn't check to see if I could register my cat, but it was tempting :-)

Hey, I thought I'd update you on my daughter's George W sock that she gave her English teacher! She made him hang it up, and he put it on the chalkboard! It led to a discussion of politics, with my daughter leading the charge as a Pro-Life, anti Environmental Wacko advocate of George W. Bush!!
Way to go, kiddo! You make your parents proud!! LOL!! (She's a feisty one too! She said by the end she was yelling!! Gotta love it!!)

The speech today was
awesome! And the response was terrific!
Part of the speech was in remembrance of Pearl Harbor but then he went on to inspire today's military. One segment I really loved is quoted here:
Just as we were 60 years ago in a time of war, this nation will be patient, we'll be determined, and we will be relentless in the pursuit of freedom. (Applause.) This is becoming clear to al Qaeda terrorists and the Taliban. (Laughter.) Not long ago, that regime controlled most of Afghanistan. Today, they control not much more than a few caves. (Laughter and applause.) Not long ago, al Qaeda's leader dismissed America as a paper tiger. That was before the tiger roared. (Applause.) Throughout history, other armies have sought to conquer Afghanistan, and they failed. Our military was sent to liberate Afghanistan, and you are succeeding. (Applause.)
We're a long way from finished in Afghanistan. Much difficult and dangerous work is yet to come. Many terrorists are still hiding in heavily fortified bunkers in very rugged territory. They are said to be prepared for a long stay underground. (Laughter.) But they are in for a sudden change of plans -- (laughter) -- because one by one, we're going to find them. And piece by piece, we'll tear their terrorist network apart. (Applause.)
His timing was superb on the remark about the long stay underground .... he paused long enough to let everyone jump to a conclusion about the ultimate fate of the terrorists ... and then continued to talk about finding them all. The crowd just loved it!!!

Was he really "preaching" ohio? I'm not sure if he was right there, but he's been doing a lot of preaching lately, and I love it!!
The man has convictions, and he's not afraid to let people know what they are!
