President Bush remembered Decemeber 7th by visiting the USS Enterprise at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, VA where he thanked all of our troops, past and present, for their valued and faithful service to their country. Bush also vowed that we will win the war on terror. Earlier in the day, the President met with Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!
I have noticed that the President frequently uses honor and grateful when talking about being President or living at the White House. It is nice to see that one can simultaneously be humble and POTUS. He sees his job as a public servant, not as a personal grab at power.
The events of September 11th has changed all of our lives and as always, the American people are their best when times are there worst, and the entire world has once again been witness to what is so great about this country, we can argue and fight among ourselves, but if you attack this great country you will find out what we are all about.
What the world has seen is what many of us already knew, we have a leader that has risen to the occasion and has shown the overwhelming majority of us and the rest of the world that he has what it takes to lead this country when leadership is so desperately needed. World leaders who met him in Genoa Italy were very impressed, Vladimir Putin changed his tune once he met him, and now that the entire world can see his ability to lead this country and demand that freedom loving leaders of the world follow this country as we rid the planet of these evil terrorist who poison the minds of their children and deny people of basic human rights and dignity.
George W. Bush has been the leader we always knew he would be and in the last 11 months he has fulfilled almost every promise he made during his campaign and he has done it without using the bully pulpit or dirty politics, and considering the tactics from the true illegitimate leader Tom Daschle and his ilk, he has done it with civility and dignity, and I for one salute this man as probably one of the best Presidents we will ever see. George W. Bush is my Commander in Chief and he will lead in the "Calling of our time" and in his father's words "He will do it with honor and dignity". I look back at how far we were divided after the 2000 election and it is hard to believe how much things have changed. We now can listen to the President without wondering if we should be parsing his words, we now have a first couple who love and support each other, we now have an administration who is serving the nation and not the President, we now have a country united and not divided. When you think of it! Is this not what he promised us?
God Bless George W. Bush and his lovely Wife
Happy Holiday's to all of you here at Free Republic
That is your opinion, fortunely a lot of people in this world don't agree with it. The world needs heros. And better a man like George W. Bush (he is not George Bush II) who is trying to make this a better world for us to live in then some trashy movie star or silly sports figure.
If you are uncomfortable with the way we talk about the President, then perhaps you would be better off finding another thread to post on. Admiring the President is standard on this thread.
On the contrary, your remarks are in bad very bad taste and I find it amazing that you would bother to show all of these patriots here on this thread how shallow and pathetic you are. It has been 8 long years since this country has had a leader who is not smothering in scandals and disgraceful behavior.
You need to go find a thread that suits your pathetic views, I would suggest finding a forum that shares your very narrow opinion, but you better hurry, because they are folding up quicker than real estate companies selling waterfront property in Afghanistan

"Hope I didn't smell up the john too bad. If anybody
mentions it, I'll blame it on Powell."
Words of wisdom: There is no second chance to make a first impression.
The more of that kind of tripe you post here, the more you convince others of your ignorance of the man, who he is, and what he stands for.
This thread is NOT for political debate. You have been invited by the one who posts the thread to take your political discourse (or what you seem to think qualifies as that) elsewhere. I, too, respectfully suggest that you refrain from further postings of this nature here.
Laura has a beautiful shaw on in the photo of the two of them (last one of #6). Where are they going?
MJY1288...congratulations on your wife turning from the dark side. She is in good company here. I hope many more are doing the same. The kangaroo circus yesterday with the Dems and Ashcroft should have converted a few. Also today and little Tommy's snit about the stimulus. Sorry folks, W's been out talking about this for weeks, if not months, and the House already passed one. So...only up to the Senate and who controls that, eh?
Well, like, DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure glad you joined up to offer us this INTELLIGENT little tidbit.
