From KOMO4 Web Site right now:
SEATTLE - A plane at Sea-Tac Airport has been sealed off after U.S. Customs officials in New York received an anonymous tip that the inbound 747 from Taipei, Taiwan had someone on board carrying smallpox.
It has not been determined if it is a valid threat yet, but officials are not taking any chances.
Eva Air Flight 32, bound for Newark, N.J. but in Seattle on a scheduled stop-over, has been quarantined as a precaution. No one is being allowed on or off the plane.
The threat was not specific if the person was infected, or carrying a vial of smallpox.
Again, there has not been any confirmation of smallpox on board. Officials are responding to an anonymous tip.

I heard it, too.

Well, CNN sure isn't talking about it.

Ditto.
To: xm177e2
just saw it on Fox ...said customs officials are just investigating a claim of small pox on the plane...may turn out to be a hoax.

Linda Vester on FNC just read RetiredArmy's post pretty much verbatim.

This is what I call "Post Warning Syndrome". The vague warnings of the gov't help put the American public in the right state of mind, but they do cause a rise in overpanicking and pranks. A few days after each warning I've noticed scares happening with airplanes. In the last warning I remember it was a plane that was held over at Dulles airport.

what's the url for that?
To: RetiredArmy
Let's hope it's a bioterror version of a bomb threat.

Officials are responding to an anonymous tip.Hopefully, like most such tips, this one will turn out to either be false or a hoax...
