Forgive me if I have things wrong and please correct me if my personal research has led me astray. Let me also preface this post by stating that Palestinian lunatics like Hamas need to be destroyed.
With that said, my research has led me to belive that the palestinians have been screwed throughout history. Israel, by force has seized so much land and then infringed even further into palestinian land. They ignored the U.N. recommondations and siezed vast amounts of land from Palestine. Israelis were the minority and by force , displaced weaker, huge masses of Palestinians. I have spent most of my life hating the PLO and blaming them for the huge Middle-east problem. now I beleive the Iraels are also to blame. I never really understood the issue and decided to find out. I strongly believe there needs to be distinct boundries that must be respected by both sides. I was surprised to see how many Israeli settlements were in Palestinian areas. I guess I figured out there is two sides to every story. Come on fellow freepers, educate me and tell me your beliefs.
If Jesus Christ walked as a Jew in Israel some 2001 years ago, and there were no Muslims because Mohammed wasn't even born yet....Duh, who was there first? The Jews have been there for over 5,000 years...The Christians for over 2000. Please, take your research and shove it!
Is this what you consider "so much land" and "vast amounts of land"?

I am a Polish-Italian born in Wisconsin cheesehead, so save the evaluation of me BUD. I never knew there were so many intolerant freepers. I politely ask for opinions and insight and I get pompous ##holes trying to come off as intellectuals. Sorry if I didn't use my websters before I posted
There generally are at least two sides to every story, the truth and the kind of bs you're trying to peddle.
Of course no hint as to what he learned. No facts. No substance. Just blah blah. Kinda like you.
Here is a good site that is published by an Israel Peace Group that I found informative albeit one-sided. Good luck and let us know if you find any informative sites.
Why don't you ever provide any credible sources when your "facts" are challenged?
The Palestinians do have an innate right to live in peace, and I do believe Israel wants them to live in peace, yet at the same time they must take a certain responsibility for themselves and each other. You can only get peace when you give peace. No nation should have to put up with suicide-homicidal bombers, mortars, snipers like Israel has.
Nobody is fooled into thinking that Arafat never was a terrorist. Yet, Israel was willing to overlook it in the hopes that he would be the one who could organize and reform Palestinian society into one that would peacefully coexist with Israel. He hasn't done a good job, and is now on the brink. His own people, under Hamas, are starting to revolt against him. He blew it big time.
Putting aside the disagreements the two sides had at oslo and camp david and who is to blame and what historical injustices occured, the question is what can be done now? The first thing that has to occur is an end to the violence. Arafat has no choice but to regain control, forcefully if need be, and return to the negotiating table. Israel cannot negotiate with chaos, and cannot negotiate with someone who cannot deliver. The longer this takes, the harder it will be, and the worse off the Palestinians will be.
And rightly so.
That's not to say the Israelis haven't screwed the Palestinians some, particularly in the way they favor Jewish settlers over Palestinians with regards to land and water rights in the occupied territories. But the UN has absolutely no credibility here (remember the Durban racism conference?) Also, not only has Israel screwed the Palestinians - so have their fellow Arabs! Why are these people still living in refugee camps after 50 years - is there no Arab country that can take them in? No, it's that there's no Arab country that doesn't prefer having them as a club to beat Israel with.
And they're a people who "never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity." Imagine if they'd said "yes" to the deal they were offered a year ago - how much better off would they be? Instead they're going to lose what little independence they had. When you meet someone who keeps on having bad things happen to him, sometimes it's because he's unlucky, but sometimes it's because he's a stupid @$$h01e. The latest rash of suicide bombings (bringing the next front of the War on Terrorism onto their heads, even though that's the last thing Bush wanted to do) has convinced me that the Palestinians are in the latter situation.
In this case, as in so many others, all the anti-Semite has to do is fling charges against the Jews (notice no specifics are offered nor any attempt to prove that it is Arab(?) land)and those charges are arrogantly taken as true by the neo Nazis.
