although Michael Jackson has become a freak in the 90's, and can't sing anymore, his Thriller Album was one of the best in the 80's.
Give the freak his due, he did produce a good album " Thriller".... after that he become a freak.

Hmm....So many to choose from in the 80's. I guess I'll just list the ones that really bring back the memories for me:
Foreigner - 4
Scorpions - Blackout
Def Leppard - Pyromania and Hysteria
Rush - Moving pictures
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Ratt - Out of the Cellar
Whitesnake - Whitesnake
AC/DC - Back in Black
White Lion - Pride
Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman
Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Great White - Twice Shy
Gary Moore - Still Got the Blues
Asia - Asia
Van Halen - 1984
There are just so many. I look forward to seeing what everyone posts. I may have a few flashbacks while reading.....

ah, that album brings back so many memories. I love 'we work the black seam', 'russians', and 'moon over bourbon street.'

Hey, you stole mine! I was going to put Def Leppard, Ozzy, and AC/DC!
OK, then, I'll add some more. Nothing that can touch those though.
How about late 70's? Boston (either), Styx (Pieces of Eight), Heart, KISS (can't remember the name, though).

Only one album and only one group can define the 1980's and that is Van Halen. 1984 was a good album, but I liked 5150 with Sammy Haggar. He rocked!

Yeah, that album really brings it all back for the X'ers that grew up during the cold war. Good stuff, unfortunately I doubt that I'd agree with Sting on politics much.
