The internatonal students that live in the dorm are residing in the US. They can expect to see the American flag on gov buildings, post offices, schools, and anywhere else an American chooses to fly one.
If they are offended by the flying of the American flag on American soil then they are welcome to vacate said soil at their earliest opportunity.
I don't know what nationality that name is, but damn if we don't have a foreigner in our country, being more Patriotic than some born-here Americans!
I'd love to go shake Oubai Shahbandar's hand. He's a real American. Stood up for the flag, fought the college liberal system and won.
We sure could use a few more like him. :)
Texas A&M is is one of the most conservative campuses in the country. If the author is throwing Texas A&M into the story, there must be more to it than is being stated.
Does anyone know the the rest of the story?
Stop any and all Federal funds going to these stunted institutions especially State Schools.
Set a basic standard of American History taught by these schools.
Get rid of the leftist Socialist A$$hole$ who don't want to teach true American History without the Liberal Bent.
Create Proper exams to test the students before they get a Diploma.
Let's go for a loyalty oath signed by the Faculty or ship 'em out.
Any college or university that refuses to allow the flag to be displayed should be banned for 20 years from recieving any tax support. Let the commie filth pay their own way!
LEHIGH SUCKS!!
Perhaps this is a good sign that the up & coming GOP will have gonads.
Freedom of speech does not apply if it offends a foreign student.
I think they still would have banned the flag even without the existence of the international students. They are only using the presence of those students as an excuse and cover up of their Marxist anti-American leanings which requires them to ban the flag.
what you folks with college age kids ought to do, is locate one good university and send your kids there.
I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is Old Glory.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.
I stand for freedom.
I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am proud.
When I am flown with my fellow banners,
my head is a little higher, my colors a little truer.
I bow to no one!
I am recognized all over the world.
I am worshipped
I am saluted.
I am loved
I am revered.
I am respected and I am feared.
I have fought in every battle of every war for more then 200 years.
I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh and Appomattox.
I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches of France,
In the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and the
beaches of Normandy, Guam. Okinawa,
Korea and KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam saw
me, I was there. I led my troops, I was dirty, battleworn
and tired, but my soldiers cheered me And I was proud.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
I have been burned, torn and trampled on
the streets of countries I have helped set free.
It does not hurt, for I am invincible.
I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and
trampled on the streets of my country. And
when it's by those whom I've served in
battle it hurts. But I shall overcome for I
am strong. I have slipped the bonds of
Earth and stood watch over the uncharted
frontiers of space from my vantage point
on the moon. I have borne silent witness
to all of America's finest hours. But my
finest hours are yet to come.
When I am torn into strips and used as bandages for
my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I am flown at half-mast to honor
my soldiers, Or when I lie in the trembling
arms of a grieving parent at the grave of their
fallen son or daughter, I am proud.
MY NAME IS OLD GLORY LONG MAY I WAVE.
DEAR GOD IN HEAVEN LONG MAY I WAVE.
