JimRob can't be expected to police every thread. But the rank, appalling racism of some comments made during the discussion of the Adams Mark lawsuit really is quite beyond the pale. Your thoughts?

Yes I did mean it. I also know that there are certain beliefs that most main religions have in common which is why you're able to have laws against things like murder or theft without it going against the majority of people's beliefs but there are going to be things like what you eat or what roles a man and a woman have in their house that may differ but are not necessarily wrong.

So do we start to condemn other religions when their fanatical groups in the US finally start making big moves in the religious wars that are abundant overseas?

Or, as anyone who pays attention to AFer sites can attest, one person who creates a ton of accounts can make it seem like a lot of people agree with him. THOSE DEVILS!
Scales lifting (hold on for a moment) . .I . . can . . SEE!! FR becomes perfect . . . I, I mean MORE perfect! You know, with that kind of technical savvy you'd think AFWAAAAA! (sp?) would swell their own ranks.
You know, like on on a reputable AF board.

Sorry if I got it wrong.
Incidentally, the "this must stop" was just a JOKE; you know, you must START reading the religion threads I'M on?
No "chilling effect" intended.

I'm sorry, but I maintain that when 99.7% of one race votes
as a block for a candidate, something's fishy.... Especially when that candidate is of the same race as the block of voters and when the candidate blatantly feeds racist ads to those same people to whip them into a frenzy.
What would YOU call it if whites did the same thing?
Personally, I found the entire spectacle extremely discouraging and disheartening. We must ALL examine a candidate's record - not merely react to dirty politics with a clear racist theme.
By the way, one of my dearest friends is Black and she swears most Blacks still have that "plantation mentality" which means they're led around by their emotions, fed to them by the "massa" (ie, Democrats). Her name is Joyce Smith and she's one of FR's biggest supporters. She could write a book on the subject because she's "been there" herself. Most old guard FReepers can back me up on this one.

Ok. I'm new here. How do I go about finding those threads?

Ever wonder why conservatives don't have rap music on their boxes?Only old farts as yourself. The rest of us love good music.
To: Texaggie79
So,,,,,,,, you don't know anything about conservatism?

Oh, grow up. Don't go through life with your heart on your sleeve! There are some people that you just aren't going to get along with no matter what you do. You don't have to be around those people!!
To: Chapita
you don't know anything about conservatism?I'm a FReeper aren't I? Are you saying one cannot be a conservative and enjoy hip-hop music?
To: Texaggie79
Ha! Ha! Lighten up, child!
What amuses me is that you haven't yet realized that - us old farts - have been way further down the road you are traveling!
I have a son who was born in '69, and he is just now figuring out that the further you travel down the road of life, the more one has to observe OVER HIS SHOULDER!

When I was a couple years younger than you, I had an old pal who was in his '90s. He had been all over, had done so much; so I asked him, just the evening before I shipped out for overseas, "What would you do if you had your whole life to live over again?"
His reply took me many years to understand. He replied, "I would just hope not to make the same mistakes!"

Experience speaks volumes. I agree, but taste in music is not an aged art. Either you know good music or you don't.
To: Texaggie79
Okay! If you say so!

WORD!

The fact that there aren't more posts like #45 and #148 on this thread proves that FR is racist.
(Guess I'm going to have to quit being lazy and learn to post pics myself.)
