AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 317) [Remember the Trade Center!!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 3, 2001 | All of Us

Posted on 12/03/2001 3:12:32 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...

...ARE GOING TO KICK YOUR A$$!!!

So states a sign at the entrace to Camp Justice, the Marine base located approximately 100 miles outside of Kandahar, the last remaining stronghold of the Talibums in Afgoneistan.

We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail![President Bush]

Well, the lighting of the Christmas, er - Holiday, tree took place yesterday in Kensington. Despite the wishes of the city council, hundreds of Santa Clauses showed up, and one did, in fact, ride in on a fire truck - as had been done in years past. No comment was forthcoming from the chair of the council.

Secretary Rumsfeld has a message for the remaining defenders of the Talibums in Afgoneistan. It is very simple; sufficiently so that I think they should understand: Surrender, or die. There are reports the remaining enemy elements in Kandahar are considering defying the Mullah and are contemplating surrender.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Yeah, Dallas won. But the other team shall remain nameless. 8^)

I can relate on the SNAFU. When I enlisted in the National Guard, lo those many years ago, it took three trips to the MEPS in New Orleans before all the paperwork was straightened out. What's really annoying is that everytime you go, you have to strip down for a weigh-in, BP, etc... irregardless of the reason for your return(lost or missing paperwork in both of our cases). And I don't know about the room where you strip down in Dallas, but the one in New Orleans was obviously built over an ice rink, because those floors are freezing.

I thought I would link this story that OneidaM and I found this morning.

The New York Times tries to convince us to dislike Fox News....and fails miserably.

Pay special attention to the quotes from Brit Hume and Roger Ailes. Hilarious!

Trill wanted me to call the recruiter's boss and complain. Since the recruiter is a career MSgt, I'm not going to do that, but explain that to a civilian.

Situation Normal, All Fouled Up. It's nice to know some things never change. Not.

Thanks to everybody for their prayers.

Hi OM!

You made a point about Israel/Palestine yesterday that I'd like to say something about:

1. The 'Palestinians', esp. after Arafat became head of the so-called PA, are semi-well organized and armed to the teeth. They are currently building a military from the so-called police force they have in place. The slingshot-warrior you see on TV is the romantic version; the car bombers and the guys dressed in camos gunning down 'settlers' is the reality.

2. This is NOT a land dispute. Taking the land, all of it, eliminates Israel and allows the PLO to crush the Jews, which is the real goal. The PLO will not be happy until all Israelis are dead. Period. Witness what happened when Barak tried to give more than Arafat was asking for at the last 'peace summit': Arafat started the current wave of violence. It is not in Arafat's interests to make peace, he loses relevance.

3. There have only been 2 cases that I know of where innocent Palestinians/muslims have been intentionally gunned down: one was the crazed Israeli opening fire in a mosque; the other was the massacre in the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila, when Ariel Sharon (when he was Defense Minister) allowed radicals into the camps to do the dirty work. Neither was state-sponsored.

4. IMHO, Israel won the land it has in a war. That means they beat Egypt/Syria et al for it. They didn't invade; they were attacked. They should probably leave the settlements they promised to vacate, but only because they agreed, not because they don't belong there. (Besides, Palestine as it existed in the ancient world was what is currently Jordan. I would like to know how much land Jordan would like to contribute to the peace cause for their former bretheren. Thought so.)

5. Arafat to this day refuses to remove the clause in the PLO charter that calls for the destruction of Israel, and to insert a clause that recognizes Israel's right to exist. He has promised several times to do so; he has not. Yet he claims he wants to be Israel's good neighbor.

People need to remember that after the PLO, there is Hamas, then Hezbollah, then Arab/Muslim Brotherhood, etc., all in line ready to take a whack at Israel. UOx42 and his lapdogs Barak and None-too-Bright made things infinitely worse by encouraging the PA with idiotic, one-worlder, can't-we-all-just-get-along diplomacy -- none of which was aimed at supporting the only democracy in the region.

The PA would not be a democracy if they prevailed. We must decide what we stand for, and it is not the PLO...

Great news!

Did you happen to catch "The Lost Battalion" on A&E last night? Excellent movie, and very accurate, historically, getting even little minute details right. I was very impressed, and highly recommend it.

Didn't get to see it. I went to bed a little earlier than usual last night. I've seen the previews, and it's one I want to see. I should be able to catch it on a repeat.

Thank you for your insight and explanation. I appreciate ALL who participate in the Israel/Palestine discussion! There is much to learn, and I, for one, certainly benefit!

Chairman...did I miss the posting of your Christmas decorations?

No. I haven't even taken the picture yet. In fact, we are not quite done decorating the tree (step ladder and boxes still surround the tree) - but we'll finish tonight.

Then I also have to get Mrs. Chairman's permission to post - she's a bit sensitive about security these days (understandable, though).

It was the same for me with pro basketball when Gordie Howe hung it up.
