illstillbe: Thank-you for the ping. Have a great day! I love Frosty and just know you will do a great job of "building one!"

I'm in full war regalia today, monitoring the threads that are dealing with Israel and the middle east. Had a talk with God this morning at Church about imparting wisdom and good judgment upon the world leaders. These times are not happy.

kayak: Hope you're happy and doing well. Peace and a wonderful day to all.

Sure.

Now I feel like talking and all y'alls hear other calls ... *snick*

Mozie ... I have been wondering ~~~ what's it like to play (piano) at a wedding?!

I think I would feel such a sense of responsibility ... not wanting to mess up ... also ... do you have a separate wardrobe for these events?!

And does it feel strange to know that you are on video tapes in peoples' homes you do not know for time infinitum?!

I, myself, which is I ~~~ as I just stated, am in a wedding video ... being carried over the shoulder of my seriously crazed b-i-l through a ballroom, only to find there was a wedding in progress ... me demanding he put me down ... standing ...

me draping... right next to the bride's Dad during a toast ... husband (mine) in hot pursuit ~~~ surely a story best left for another time ...

But I do wonder where I am in strangers' video collection.

"Who were those three people?!" LOL!!

Well ~~~ Frosty is after naggin' me ...

A quick post and run. M-i-l is outside with hubby.

Molly, illstillbe...sorry you 2 are under the weather.

I am cracking up here :-)We taught our parakeet a few rather cute phrases. Many times, because of my poor hearing, I can not understand what he is saying. Just as m-i-l was pulling in the driveway, what did I hear him say???

"Help, help let me outta here." Right on cue...birdie. Our pets give me such joy. :-)

Quickly, here ... I am listening to an audio replay of Fox News with Brit ... I was very impressed with Ashcroft's comments ... his delivery.

He is improving in his responses to questions, I think ... speaking in ways which are more clear ... supplying facts clearly and without emotion. It was good.

Our pets give me much joy ...

lysie ... so true!!

Last night ... deeply asleep ... tired from my musings ... I got slimed by a big nose ... and batted by a fluffy white tail ... all illuminated by the moon ...

Opened my eyes to see ... trust ... and silly joy looking at me ... as if to say, "You OK?! Isn't everything grand?! I snuck into your room!!! Wanna play now?!"

LOL!

Thanks! She'll be in tomorrow's version ..... :-)

I seem to have just a little tummy bug ..... nothing serious ..... just feeling yucky. Should be back to normal tomorrow.

I think we have gotten nearly as much joy out of your pup as you have .... we love hearing about him ... except when he decides that you make a good pull toy ... :-(

Yikes!

Katie-bar-the-door time if this is successful ~~~~ which, of course, it will be.

Reports are that we will all be under a super Red ... REALLY red alert when we nail the dirt-bag to the cave wall ...

Seems fair ... our guys are putting it all on the line for us ... I'm ready ...

Oh good Sandy Berger is up next on C-Span's replay of the gaping mouth shows ... let's all listen to a guy who blew it and put us all in danger for personal gain ....

I won't comment on those bombings ...

OneidaM ... I would be so very interested in hearing your opinions on this ... I seem only to hear one side ... and you have been to a lot of places ... and seen a lotta things ... and your thinking is reasoned ... could you expound ... if not here ... maybe through mail ... I keep thinking I am being led to a trough, here ... stories always have more than one angle .... but I am being fed only one ... I have made an attempt to ask questions on other threads (not today ... in the past) ... but emotions, understandably, are high ... and logic seems to be the first casuality in these discussions ...

Bit, I know, is well informed on this topic too ... I can not help but think that I am somehow being led .... to a conclusion ... though standing anywhere near the guy in the shark's scarf, hidden gun and dirty beard is not my goal ... I would just like to have a better understanding of the whole thing.

In
100 words
or
less ...

Kidding ... about the word count, I mean.

I see I have handed you another assignment ... something you surely do not need. *sigh*

Ignore this ...

I would be interested in hearing what you have to say, too, Nita. You know you won't get flamed here ...... and we all need to be careful that we're weighing all sides of a question before reaching conclusions. So please speak up. We'll cover your back if obnoxious people show up ..... :-)

I really do sort of enjoy playing for weddings. Generally the music is easy and the audience is not critical; after all, they're there for the wedding, not a musical performance. I've done enough of them to not get nervous at all; except on the rare occasion when I have to do an organ piece that is difficult.

As far as wardrobe, I usually just wear a nice dress; nothing too splashy; in fact yesterday, since I was suffering from chills, headache, etc. (reaction to flu shot), I wore my nice new sweater & black pants; the vocalist showed up in a (yuck!) black pantsuit (actually, it looked nice on her) so we sort of matched.

I do NOT like being video-taped while performing. In fact, I DETEST it. But what are you gonna do? Everybody does it these days. I comfort myself with the fact that the odds of anyone ever actually watching these tapes are pretty small.

Speaking of music, I have to brag here a little (I'm a mama, I have that right, right????:)

Last night was girlchild's (college) Christmas concert (tonight too; they're doing it all over again.) She played piano solos in the lobby prior to the concert; played flute in the concert band; sang in a women's octet; and accompanied the Chamber Singers on the piano. She also had a small vocal solo at the post-concert dessert reception. She did a GREAT job, and she looked GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

Not all her days go so well, but for one night, it was sheer heaven to see her giving herself to her music and enjoying life.:) Mommy & Daddy were VERY happy.:)

IF MARTIN SHEEN is on People, I'm not buying it. .....AND....

Today, I went to Cocoa Village for their Christmas Craft Fair....(the temp is in the 80's!!!!)

There were 'carolers' walking around dressed like something from a Dicken's novel......hoop skirts & mutton sleeves for the ladies......top hats & long coats & weskets? for the guys......HOT HOT HOT!!......AND

...in the 'it could only happen in FLorida' dept...... as the carolers made their rounds, there was a 'Sand Scultping' exhibition going on :^

Well, as long as Freeper General is open, can I check in? I fear that my flu shot reaction may be something else; my throat is getting funny now, too; and I am feeling very worn out. Of course, tramping around in the woods to get the Christmas tree probably didn't help.:)

But it's a beauty!!!!!:) :) :)
