We will not tire, we will not falter, we will not fail![President Bush]
Some personal notes this morning.
Yesterday was spent decorating the cottage for the season. The railings of the stairway in the foyer leading to the second floor has been covered in an appropriate way with greenery. Today we will address the tree. If Mrs. Chairman doesn't mind, I'll see if I can get a picture together after it is all done to share.
In the news:
The big news of the last 24 hours was a suicide bomber who lit off his device in an Israeli shopping mall - killing 10 and wounding at least 150.
The United States and anti-Taliban Pashtuns are said to be planning the final assault on Kandahar.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Chilly morning here.
Hows the wrist MP??
...We need you on the battlefield.:)
Bonjour Senior Tree.
[That way I can butcher three languages all at the same time - HA!]
Well, all four sections of the tree are assembled - and I have the annual assortment of small nicks and scrapes from moving those sections from the utility room to the foyer.
Even without the lights plugged in yet, nor with any ornaments hung, the tree still looks nice and seasonal - even if the weather is a tad warm for December 2.
"Uncle Jim!!!!!"
Hear anything new about the RNC chair seat?
Just saw the President return from Camp David for a meeting with Sharon. Strong statement about these bombs...I would think that Arafat should be very worried.
I am just going to sit back and watch what happens.
Ugh!
Sheesh. I explained to her that hubby and I are very busy today decorating and working on the barn. I told her that we would not see her this weekend. We saw her 2 days last week and usually once each weekend. On several occasions I have even gone to her house and brought her here because she doesn't like driving at night.
Know what??? She is still coming. She left a message on our recorder saying she will be here at 1:30.
I even said I won't be serving our Sunday dinner before dark. She said put the roast in earlier.
So.... I repeat....would it be considered rude to lock her out of my house. :-)
I think I will be grumpy today. :-)
Oh cripes...she is here....ugh....ugh...ugh.
I wanted to chat about IT
Don't forget to put the roast on!
*Prayers* to us ALL for ~~~ well, lots of things ... not the least, of which, is SAFETY and FOCUS, wisdom, understanding, patience and more normal days than not ... HEALTH and maybe a few small miracles now and then.
OK ... bootstraps re laced and tightened ...
Caught a bit of the flu, I think ... and decided it was a perfect time to throw a bit of a pity party while I was at it. LOL!
Thoughts like these;
"What do You mean I can't do that that anymore?!
I do not think there is a solution for this ... or that I will even recognize one if it comes along.
I really ... really am not liking this."
SMKLOL!
As you see ... life goes on, and glad, I am, for it.
To make matters worse the Beatles seem to be back ... I didn't like them when they were together ... now I can not seem to get away from them.
Rumsfeld cheered me up this day, though. *grins*
Molly ... you are not quite the thing today?! I think you must be feeling awful ... to miss services. Feel that?! 'Tis a hug from wacky-me.
I am after building a Frosty today ... he'll be wearing red white and blue. *grins*
Man! There are a couple of threads going which make even my brain seem stunningly orderly. HAR!
Jemian ... the submarine is on its way ....
POLs ... lysie ... you are the bestest ... and I am sorry I am chuckling.
I wish I lived closer ... you could send her over to me and I could drive her over the edge ... figuratively speaking, of course.
kd ... I meant to specifically mention your daughter Debby in my *prayers* ... she's been in them since I read your comments early this morning ...
