Hear, hear. It is time for crisp, bracing fall weather with the smell of smoke from wood fires on the wind. It's bloody HOT (and horibly humid) here in MD.
ENOUGH. I want Fall!

Well within the normal range for November. It could be 45 below, and it probably is in some selected pockets in the Interior such as North Pole. In January it might even get to 60 below and stay there for a few weeks. Not much snow cover, though, less than normal.

Been down to 5°F (Celsius if for melting points of crystals.) the last few days. Will probably have 15°F nights and 40°F days. Much colder than last year but still normal.
Afghanistan has some shellfall with widely scattered bombs. Lots of metal in the air.

15 below zero. And that is.... abnormal?.... Sounds like some good hockey weather.

It sounds like you're here in northern, California. The weather here is quite unusual. They are forecasting for snow, below 2000 feet tomorrow. We usually get a light snow in January or February. The winds have been up to 45 mile per hour gust in the last few days.
I'm beginning to believe the tales about the acorns!!! LOL! We have quadrupled the amount to rake up compared to previous years! Farmers almanac claims massive amounts of acorns falling = a very wet winter.....we'll find out soon enough.
Take care!

A little more snow than normal for this time but not bad.

Actually GWarming is not bunk, and I'm about a conservative as you get. There is near unanimous agreement that the climate is warming. There is tremendous disagreement over whether it is good or bad and what is causing it, and what can be done about it.
Only a liberal could think he can overpower mother nature, either way. By that I mean cause it, or stop it.

abnormal It's abnormal in that the past few years have generally been abnormally warm and this year seems to be normally cool. Not real warm unless anything above 5 below is considered real warm. They play hockey indoors.
Snow machines are kind of grounded if we don't get a little more snow. For that matter, the electric utility is about to make some artificial snow so they can construct a 100 mile high tension line south of town. Winter construction methods.

Still summer here in NJ

I feel much better after reading this post from you. As good conservatives, we know we can only work with what we have. As far as where we are in relation to cycles of climate, be it a 100 year or 1000 year cycle, we just have to work with it.Hopefully, the weather cycle(s) will be good, as we want to use our back yard, not destroy it.

Here in NYC it's been in the 60's most of the week. In fact, it's been in the 60's for most of October and November. The butterflies are still flying around my backyard. My mom is ecstatic because her home heating costs have been way down this fall.
Unfortunately, it's also been a very dry autumn. We went for about 30 days without any significant rainfall, and the reservoirs are starting to get low.

In Las Vegas we're running below normal by as much as 11-12 degrees! That's ok by me-I hate the heat! LOL

I wonder if the Gulf Stream is still cooling down? Art Bell blamed the cool gulf stream on global warming. Europe could use a little warming up, or so I've heard. They were on the verge of reverting back to the Ice Age theory.

Unfortunately, it's also been a very dry autumn. If global warming occurs, that will trigger more evaporation, which will cause more storm clouds. Then the rain will cause even more evaporation, which in turn causes cooling. Since the earth's surface is 75% water, I find it difficult to believe that old fashioned evaporation would allow global warming to happen.
