The count of votes for George W. Bush is: 26.34%
The count of votes for Tony Blair is: 3.60%
The count of votes for Donald Rumsfeld is: 2.57%
The count of votes for Passengers of United Airlines Flight #93 is: 43.62%
The count of votes for Barbara Olson is: 0.62%
Seems like Barbara Olsen should be at least up there with Tony Blair.

Although I find the heroism displayed by those passengers on that United flight to be inspiring; I have to go with G. W. Bush on this one and any other choice is really not plausible. This man has grown in stature from the first day of this crisis. He has been calm, controlled and focused on the job at hand. He has handled both foreign countries and the American public well, leaving both with the assurance of someone who knows what he is doing and is surrounded by people who are also extremely competent.
That being said; I am figuring Time will go with bin Laden.

I seriously doubt that G.W. Bush is a contender for Time's 2001 Person of the Year, as he was designated same in 2000:

When and if PROVIDES an online poll for the public to vote, I will cast my vote for Tony Blair, as I was MOST appreciative of his LOUD leadership in the immediate aftermath, ...those horrible ghastly days and hours right after the WTC Atrocity.
However, I presume that either Giuliani or Mussharif will receive this distinction.
I would HOPE that TIME Magazine will NOT bestow this "honor" upon OBL, but I wouldn't put it past them.

Bush, Pataki and Guiliani should all share the honor. One took the lead and showed courage, one brought his state up and took the lead in elevating the needs of NY and one, on a daily basis, with the kindest of hearts, has seen to the constituents in his city with an attention and caring presense that is unparalleled by anyone. This trio is so inspiring to our nation, that whether any of them are elected for this honor, or all of them are, in my heart it will ALWAYS be the three of them...what fine men.
