New York Senator Hillary Clinton has reportedly refused to attend a single funeral or memorial service for any of the victims of the World Trade Center disaster unless it was a major media event.
"We sent both Sen. Clinton and Sen. Chuck Schumer letters asking them which services they attended and which families they visited," Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly reported late Tuesday.
Sen. Clinton's office ignored FNC's letter and repeated phone calls, "most likely," said O'Reilly, "because the only events we know she attended were three highly publicized memorial services."
In marked contrast to Clinton's stonewalling, Sen. Schumer's office said they had attended 10 services and promised to provide a list of each one. New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Gov. George Pataki have attended hundreds of funerals for WTC victims.
Anthony Gardener, who lost his brother Harvey in the World Trade Center and has become an advocate for the victims of the disaster, told FNC that he contacted Clinton's New York office twice but got no response.
"I invited her to come and be on our board of advisers to help us with the nonprofit support group that we created, WTC United Family Group," Gardener told O'Reilly. "I never had any feedback from her office, not even an assistant to an assistant or anyone."
Gardener said that he knew getting Mrs. Clinton to help would be "a far-fetched thing. [But] I just thought she might be eager to help."
Associated Press reporter Beth Harpaz, author of the Hillary 2000 campaign chronicle "The Girls on the Van," said that Mrs. Clinton snubbed WTC victims because they didn't vote for her.
"Her core supporters and the main victim groups of 9/11 are pretty much two distinct groups," Harpaz told O'Reilly. "You know, we have a lot of male-dominated professions here, firefighters, cops, Wall Street, a lot of suburbanites, a lot of political conservatives."
Harpaz also suggested that Mrs. Clinton couldn't attend many funerals because "she's been busy in Washington" and she also feared being booed again, as she was at an Oct. 20 concert for WTC victims.
Visibly angered, the Fox host shot back:
"If I were the senator of New York, I would have tried to attend as many of those funerals and memorial services as I could. And if they booed me, they booed me. I'd get down on my knees and say a prayer for that dead person and then I would go and leave."
Three high-profile events Mrs. Clinton attended were a memorial service at Yankee Stadium a week after the attacks, a similar event at Ground Zero in early October, and the funeral for New York City Fire Department Chaplain Father Mychal Judge, where she delivered the eulogy. All three services were televised.

I WAS trying to keep it ladylike...but...it's kinda like the same stereotype when you tell people you are from New York and they assume the only place in New York is NYC.
Sorry, you're wrong, one blanket does NOT cover all. Many of us New Yorker's have been working from day one (when she announced she wouldn't be running for NY and we all knew she would) at spreading the word on the truth about hiLIARy. We continue this work today. Sometimes it's like spitting in the wind when you are surrounded by blind, stubborn and stupid democrats, but we keep up the good fight.
I for one, REFUSE to be covered by the same blanket that aforementioned dumbocrats sleep under. I am profoundly embarrased by our jr senator and I hope more and more sleepwalking NYers are waking up. I am proud of my state for the way we handled and are handling 911, but continue to be embarrassed by the head in the sand, lets put only democrats on the ballot and kiss the labor union arses even though there's no industry to speak of left in the state mentality.
I will continue to live in Buffalo NY because my family is here, we have great snowy winters that my kids love, we're close to a big lake with great sunsets, you can get out into the boondocks within 20 minutes (as we did last week for the meteor shower) and your neighbor will be there in a heartbeat if needed.
I pray O'Reilly will keep up the drumbeat. I hope hiLIARy will keep acting like the self centered witch we all know her to be. These things, combined with the outspokenness of conservative NYer's may lead to her downfall.
I'll close with this. If (ha ha ha) she runs for president and wins (GASP!) can I cover you and every other non NYer with the same stinky blanket you're covering me with?
`gotta love it!
(Not so sure about the "ette" part, though, more like swine-O)
It'd get her out of New York's hair. She'd blow it though I'm sure- the dogs would be trained to hump luggage in honor of her husband's Presidential legacy instead of actually doing the bomb sniffing- afterall- sex is more important than the job you do in Hitlery's world. Blue suitcases would be required humping for sure- the dog's would be given medals for blue suitcase humping.
Instead of actual training to do a job, the dogs would be taught that they don't have to work as long as they lick Hillary when she enters the room and wag their tails. If they failed, she'd have them sent to the pound where they wouldn't get any health care or funeral services if they died while on a socialized medicine waiting list for heart surgery.
Yeah, the Dog Tsar. Hell, PETA wouldn't know what to do- pure evil would be queen of the animal kingdom. PETA would self-implode and burn effigies of Hitlery in those fatass pantsuits.
If you ask me, I think Hitlery's wigs are made out of luggage humping dog's fur anyway. She'd at least attract the dogs to her.
In fairness, I watched this interview, and it turns out that Mr. Gardener is from New Jersey.
Well, if you understand the adage, yes. The saying is meant to covey the concept that, bec New York elected the stupid b!tch, the sad event event is associated with anyone who hails from NY, regardless of how you voted or how you feel. If Hitlary is elected president then I too will be covered with a "stinky blanket" that says Americans are idiots. I won't like it, but I'll understand why the rest of the world feels that way.
Contrast that with a story I heard about President Bush, who visited WTC victims' families and wouldn't allow cameras in. I'm sure it never entered his mind to invade the grief of those people for a photo op. Class act.
Keep decreasing that official list of casualties!
