Thanks for your post, Ron.
Look over Mike Moran's left arm in that enlarged picture, and see the World Trade Center - as it once was - at night. Bastards. We will NEVER forget.

This is so great. Congratulations you two, and to both Mr. Morans for the inspiration.

Now that you've gone "pro" I'm not sure you'd qualify, but G Gordon Liddy is having a patriotic song contest right now. Every day he plays one of the entries on his radio show. Check out www.theggordonliddyshow.com, go to the bottom of the webpage, "Your Patriotic Best" Contest. You're a shoe-in. (^:

DFU is BIGGER that the Beatles, and makes way more sense!! Hey Douggie, I heard you on Sean Hannity the other day asking for the song! When he introduced the caller as "Doug, from upland California" I started screaming at my husband "That's Doug from Upland!! It's Doug!!" I got so excited he nearly had to pull the truck over. It was a Freeper moment...

There's hope for us right-of-center folkies, yet!

A few days ago, there was a thread, Peace groups find anti-war message is hard to sell which noted "Marchers [in Seattle] struggled to find appropriate songs to sing during the procession from one Capitol Hill cathedral to another. But the peace-song playlist was of golden oldies, stuck in the Vietnam era."

We're winning the battle of the songs and I think that is more important to the nation's psyche than most people realize.

I'm glad you got excited and am pleased you didn't have an accident in the truck, but I haven't been on Sean's show in some time. I was on a show recently and asked for it but can't remember the show.

Hey! The guy in that picture holding the CD looks like the guy that used to play in the old comedy show Car 54: Where Are You? Uh-oh! Now I've gone and aged myself here! ;-)

Thanks for the post and the pingaroo!

Thanks for the Liddy heads up. Unfortunately, we didn't create the music. It is originally from "Wearin' O the Green." It is over 100 years old so it is public domain and we were able to use it.

LOL! When I said Uh-oh! Now I've gone and aged myself here!, by aged I should have more accurately said dated myself. Of course, someone might have thought I was actually dating myself then! ;-) (Join the club, friend - and congratulations! - I'll be 48 next April myself!). . .
