He just thinks I drive too fast, and too aggressively. That MR2 does accelerate nicely.

Hi Lynn, I hate driving on steep roads in the snow or ice. I lived in Mossyrock and went to church in Morton when I lived in Washington - it was just a 12 mile drive on a highway, but it went over a big hill (Cascade foothills) that always had weather on top in the winter. I slid around a lot, even going slow, because I led studies at night twice a week. I never wrecked, though. My husband had a couple of encounters with deer and an elk on that highway, though, in the county patrol car. Oops. Shouldn't let those deer or elk drive.

When we were going out, Greg had a Jeep CJ5 - when he took the soft top off, that was our convertible. I didn't even want to drive that vehicle.

Poor Grannie - who would have guessed the good life is so exhausting?
To: palo verde
palo, when you say pocketbook (not a western term *L*) do you mean any kind of purse, or a specific kind of purse? I've never used the word, and I'm not sure what the definition includes.

I learned to drive my parents' 1967 Plymouth Fury 3 in 1975. It could go pretty fast and smooth - but when I learned to drive my Dad's old '57 Chevy Apache pick-up manual transmission w/o synchronized first gear, that was a real challenge, but not because it was fast or sporty.

Hi Christine - I have mine set at 100 - it's easy to remember a change is ahead at that setting. Today was nap day - nothing else I wanted to do in this weather.

Hey .38sw, I've recently become obsessed with getting a convertible. I really do want this

Oooh, that is very nice! I'm going to have to make do with my Sebring, however. I have discovered that when it is 105 in the shade that driving with the top down is not such a good idea. I leave the top up and hit the AC full blast. It is just terrific to cruise around in the evenings, though, with the top down, in the hills.

I really do want this Sweet Little Thing :) They are gorgeous. They look a lot like the early '60s Ferrari Superamericas with PinninFarina Bodies.
I want one too.

FOFL. I didn't say I was getting one, I said I want one. :) Ford has them in limited production only. I think all that were produced for 2002 were spoken for long in advance of completion and I'm pretty sure the same is true for 2003. I still want one.

Give those of us who lose the tracing back at post 567 a clue what book you all are talking about, please...LOL! It's no thrill, but here ya go...
The History of American Constitutional or Common Law
With Commentary Concerning Equity And Merchant Law"Every freedom loving American in this country needs to read this book."--Dr. Norm Resnick, USA Patriot News Network Radio
"If Americans knew what was in this book, the country would be free overnight."
--Larry Logan, Oklahoma Freedom Council
More than you needed to know?? *L*
Also the "web book" I mentioned can be found here:
U.S.A. The Republic:The House That No One Lives In
Lord! Do I feel like a nerd!*LOL*
Just remember I DON'T wear glasses. ;-)
To: ValerieUSA
Actually Valerie I used to have a Jeep Grande Cherokee and I LOVED IT!! I was really sad when that vehicle had to go.I used to not mind winter driving at all, but I think I'm getting worse as the years go by.

A Grand Cherokee is NOTHING like an ancient CJ5! Believe me. A trotting horse with a loosely-cinched saddle gives you a smoother ride.
That new T-Bird is lustworthy.
To: susangirl
Susan - I read Bill's web book a number of months ago. Quite an eye opener huh? Truth is, none of us are free as citizens. But there is another kind of freedom which I enjoy. As to common law, because my husband is a Canadian Lawyer he is well trained in the original common law. He is in a perpetual state of disgust and blames Lawyers for all the extra constitutional statutes that have been tagged on to effectively CHANGE the original law.
To: susangirl
Just remember I DON'T wear glasses. ;-) If you keep reading those books without pictures, you will.
