Prophecy Scholars, What End Times Signs are Playing Out Now?

I found myself in a lengthy discussion the other day about the possibility that we are in or near the Biblical end times, and I'd love to hear the thoughts of some of you who have studied this issue.

What end times signs do you think have played out or are playing out now or will play out in the very near future?

Respectful request: this thread is intended to be a discussion between those who do believe in the Bible and its end times prophecies. While anyone is of course free to post, I sure would appreciate it if those of you who don't believe in God would not clutter up the thread with accusations of superstition and such. Thanks...

In the time of Christ an earthquake happening in Europe or even Turkey would not be known in Israel for a year and maybe never. Now it is common to hear about them within an hour of the event worldwide. This kind of statement is just understood as the ability to mass communicate when taken with scriptures like "EVERY eye shall see", "ALL the world wondered after the beast", "and that NO man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name".

This and many other scriptures could not happen world wide during our time without mass communication.

Why do you consider this the most important factor in human life? I have no need of proof of God. Why should I? God is God, whether I understand Him or not, He won't change, besides, I doubt very much that I would be able to understand why He does what He does. I don't need to know that. Why do I need to seek Him? My 'fence sitting', as you put it, is totally defensible. I see no reason to try and prove the existence of God. So there are only 2 ancient religions, this means nothing to me. Why do you believe God demands a choice? It seems a bit presumptious that you would know what God wants or demands. No opinion really is an option.

I am glad you found it. I haven't been into Isaiah for a long time. He is known as the Gospel prophet because of the 53rd chapter. I like to study the Sabbath and the 8th and 9th chapter of Daniel. I am ashamed to say I haven't been doing much on that lately.

That is on the back of the hand and on the forehead. In those two spots conditions are superior for a chip to exist and it can actually get its energy to both send and receive signals from your body.

Under what circumstances do you see free American citizens willing to undergo such obvious government intrusion? BTW my tin-foil hat would probably interfere with the chips ability to send and receive from my forehead.

I bet you are a Libertarian. Being an island is possible only in one's immagination. Starting with the same presupposition you claim ... that there is a God ... I just thought I should find out what God requires of me and what He might have in store for me if indeed he did create me for somthing other than window dressing. Finding it logical that God has been around awhile and figuring He might care about man he probably revealed Himself to ancient men. Perhaps these ancients had figured a few things out and I wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel. Thus, not being of the polytheistic bent, I settled with Judaism and eventually graduated to it's modern form .... Christianity.

All that to answer your questions. It's all about the first commandment. One cannot have one's own 'god'. The creature must worship the creator. Whatever you are doing it is not religion and is merely the invention of your perhaps very creative .... but deluded mind.

This will not happen in our lifetimes. The logistics involved with supporting, manufacturing and monitoring these devices would be astronomical. There are a lot of places where you can't even get good cell-phone coverage, much less chip coverage. The amount of RF energy these devices would put out would be very small, monitoring stations would have to be every couple hundred yards, the data-base would be huge, and you're right, our tinfoil hats would render these devices useless.

Circumstances: Several more terr attacks involving mass dieoffs from disease and nuke fallout with no prospect of stemming the tide other than by a foolproof id system.

In fact, now that I think of it, this to me is the real present day unfolding of the signs of the End Times. In short more and more terror. Leading to more and more repressive moves by government to soften up the American resistence to tyrany. Terror is the major precursor to the force that will render America the non entity it seems to be in Biblical prophecy. We will just be another part of the World System. Rendered indistiguishable from The World and ready to buy into the anti-christ system.

Events of the last 15 years have shown very clearly that Americans are very bigoted towards christians, at least towards those christians who are sensitive to their consciences. The Waco events provide a lot of evidence of this.

I think that a situation could be created where there is a practical incentive to accept the mark. Then some christians will oppose it. Then the christians will be demonized, ridiculed, etc. and the evil in people will drive them to promote the mark just because these christians oppose it. There could be a sort of litimus test develop where you're considered weird or right wing christian in a negative way if you don't accept it.

Given that a fair portion of our country is very christian and that the bible warns about this it seems totally irresponsible for our government to fund research as to marking people or implanting chips systematically to identify people. There is also no reason for it. The best means of identifying people with certainty was developed by Honeywell I believe. It is the system where you look into a camera very close and it looks at your eye. Each person's eye is unique and the computer can identify you just like a fingerprint. So, there is no real reason for a mark and yet they promote it.

It is unlikely that this could ever occur under the current government, first the government would have to disarm the American populace, that alone would cause a multitude of deaths on both sides way before any chips could be implanted.
