President Bush returned to the White House today after a long holiday weekend at Camp David. Bush greeted Dayna Curry and Heather Mercer, two women who were held for three months by the Taliban for allegedly spreading Christianity. The President then answered questions from reporters regaring the war on terrorism as well as the news that a human embryo had been cloned. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Oh please, he simply was being charming and friendly. Nothing more. Give him a break, he could not look like you know who if he tried. Besides there is no doubt who has Dubya's heart!!!!

"One more dumbass question from you, Helen, and I'm personally dumping your ass at the dog track."
[The dog track reference is from an old news item in which some woman was convicted of elder abuse or something. She wanted to "granny dump" some senile, old relative, so she dropped this person off at the dog track and left him there. It became a long-running gag on the Imus show -- mostly his staff needling him that his daughters were going to do that to him.]

I wonder what he was going to say before he stopped himself. I hope it wasn't going to be "That is up for debate" since Powell is one trying to keep us out of Iraq.

>>>>>Isn't there a story about Bush putting her in her place recently? Anyone know it>>>>>
I believe at a press conference he was taking questions and asked the press to ask one question at a time. Helen from Hell asked a question and before he could even answer she said I also have a follow up. He turned to her and said thanks for warning me and everyone stared to laugh.

Another outstanding dose....many thanks. BTW goodness just shines forth from these two brave women and our beloved President!
Their rescue was truly a miracle. I was concerned that they would be used by the Taliban as hostages to try to undermine our President's statement that 'we will not negotiate with terrorists'. But by the Grace of God.....they were safely rescued.

Anyone know what that's all about? I didn't see the TV version of what transpired before "the look" behind Dayna's back.
To: GretchenEE
I saw it on TV. There was no "look". Someone's active imagination, period.

She had just finished talking, and the President said "Good job." That's all. She had just said that she was thankful that a "man of God" was President. It was really moving!

"The girls didn't believe me, so I took them over to the Senate gallery, to see for themselves just how big Sen. Clinton's ass is."This is especially funny if you look at the expression on the face of the lady on the right side of the picture in #106!
