The presstitutes are STILL trying to put words in W's mouth. He called their bluff again!
The media are so frustrated with the lack of dirt.
They resent the First Couple's marriage and try so hard to drive a wedge, to sow discord and discontent.
They are shameless.

"We Can Handle It"......yes they can....and their faith, love for each other and wonderful family are an inspiration. Thanks be to God; that we finally have a President we can trust & admire and who is worthy of the office.

"We Can Handle It"
nice interview, but is it just me or does any body else feel there's sombering tone in the title? I think I've read at least 3 or 4 articles about presidential fatalities lately and they just don't ring good to me at all. Of course we all know assassination attempts are more than real to W these days, but do they have to make it look like they are actually preparing for the consequence?

He is evil. Saddams evil. Dubya calls things by their proper names, like Reagan. I respect that.

I sign an executive order, I create the executive order, and somebody else is responsible for the court? I said, if I sign the order, I want to be responsible. That sounds to me like "The buck stops here" rather than "Buck? What buck? Oh, you mean that buck that stops with someone else? Go ask them about it ..... I have to get back to fund-raising the people's business."
Being ready, willing, and able to accept the responsibilities and consequences of one's actions is a sign of character!

Read somewhere that certain folks in the media aren't happy that Fineman has been quite supportive of our President!!!!

I also knew we couldnt bomb our way to achieve our objective. We could bomb our way to help achieve the objective. And, therefore, I knew full well that we would have troops on the ground. This this is why I voted for this man. And sent him my first check before he'd chosen Cheney as his running mate.

This Newsweek issue is definitely one worth purchasing, for the Bush pictures alone. Besides, as someone else put it, since Hillary's in Time this week, let's boost Newsweek's circulation and show what we really want to read about.

What a wonderful post! Thank you. I really enjoyed reading it. After President Bush took the oath of office I actually slept longer than I have in years. Crazy? I don't think so. Somehow, I felt safer with Klintoon actually GONE!
One of the things I asked him during the campaign (via email) was to end put an end to executive orders shortly after he issued an executive order REPEALING ALL OF THEM! Can you just imagine that happening? It's true, redrock, if this had been Clinton we would have been screaming bloody murder! I was here when it happened!I don't have a problem with this President or any President having War Powers with the framework of the Constitution. I also found these links interesting. War & Emergency Power Report The following from The Executive Order
THE EXECUTIVE ORDER IN TIME OF WAR Many of the fears of the founding fathers may now be coming to fruition. Today, the executive branch of the government is immensely powerful, much more powerful than the founding fathers had envisioned or wanted. Congressional legislative powers have been usurped. There is no greater example of that usurpation than in the form of the Presidential Executive Order. The process totally by-passes Congressional legislative authority and places in the hands of the President almost unilateral power. The Executive Order governs everything from the Flag Code of the United States to the ability to single-handedly declare Martial Law. Presidents have used the Executive Order in times of emergencies to override the Constitution of the United States and the Congress.

Thanks for posting this!
Memo to Bill Clinton from your SUCCESSOR:
The idea of trying to seek justice by using cruise missiles was shallow, as far as Im concerned. Its an antiseptic approach to a war that just didnt lend itself for that. I also knew we couldnt [only] bomb our way to achieve our objective.
Learn from a real man, and someday, blubba, you might become one.
