She'd have been the first one leading the charge that we have to understand the plight of the poor terrorists. She would have been out there demanding that we give them whatever they want because it's all our fault.

It stands to reason that W would pick a classy lady. His example was his mother, maybe the classiest person ever to live in the white house.

It is wonderful to have decent people in the white house after eight years of Arkansas white trash.

Oh, yeah, this makes a lot of sense. We castigate Hitlery, rightly so, for being an outrageous, meddling pig and then when Laura Bush starts to give radio addresses we defend her. Jeez, talk about giving the Democraps ammunition to call us hypocrites. I think you got to rethink your consistency ethic, bub.

We like Laura because she's not out there spouting devisive socialist nonsense. She's not making policy, she's being a cheerleader for the Afghan women. She's not trying to supply them with birth control or abortion doctors like Hillary would. She's just bringing notice to their plight.

Typical of the press to resent their unity, and to try and cast dispersions on their views.

The idea of Laura Bush criticizing her husband in public about ANYTHING is a bad idea. What is worse, she is being critical about something which is most endearing about her husband....that of being A REAL man! It seems that Laura and her daughters have no "street brains".If this is the case, they should collectively button their lips.

I guess I missed Laura's press release. This wasn't done it public.

What's wrong with cowboys? The terrorists hate them, north eastern elites hate them, the French hate them. A little Wyatt Earp in a president is a good thing.

Get your head out of your rear.... Laura Bush is not making policy, nor is she trying to. She is being moral support for the nation and for the president, not a single group of paid supporters. She makes a simple radio address to help the pres make a point and you think she is acting like Hillery ? Gimme a break !!!

The President says very few things unvetted by his speechwriters and lawyers. What comes through with Bush is that he is genuinely p****d; sometimes it comes through a little too much. Histrionics, even subdued, are best left to military men. Uncontrolled anger in a general is inspirational. In a President, it's just a little silly...the Kid.

In no way am I defending Hillary, but get over it. Let's look forward instead of focusing on the past. Find go things to say about the present and move on.

If true, then the woman has truly shown she has no class.

the first lady decided to use humor to make her point. Sidling up to him later, she gently barbed, "Bushie,

He is the President and should be addressed as such, doesn't matter if you were unelected co-president (whatever the hell that means). Additionally, "Bushie" is as spiteful as calling him "Shrub" or referring to "his daddy"; nothing but liberal perjoratives.

Call her Hildabeast next time you see her, George. If she takes offense, correct yourself and say, "I'm sorry, I meant to say Senator Hildabeast..."

Correcting myself, I see that this was supposedly Laura who said this. Isn't her name Bush too? Would she really use Bushie as a term of endearment?
