Friends Say Laura Has At Times Felt Sad and Isolated Since Sept. 11, But She Says Bush Steadies Her NEW YORK, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- When President George W. Bush remarked that he wanted Osama bin Laden "dead or alive," First Lady Laura Bush thought the macho talk made him look more like a hot tempered cowboy than a cool-headed statesman, writes White House Correspondent Martha Brant in the December 3 issue of Newsweek (on newsstands Monday, November 26). It's settled then. The world needs more "hot tempered cowboys", and fewer "statesmen."

Well, at least television is not showing Dubya firing off a rifle, with one hand, over a crowd, as they do Saddam!

They're a great pair. I think having George and Laura Bush in the Whitehouse is exactly what this country needs right now. It's great to have them to look to in this time of chaos and war.

There's a lot to be said for America, and the President, to have the reputation of a "reckless cowboy". It worked pretty well during the 80s.

Now had this been Hillary, she would have - what - thrown an ashtray?

After 8 years of Hillary, Laura can say and do whatever she wants as far as I am concerned. I hardly call her tactic in dealing with her spouse as meddeling..grow up.

HILLARY IS JEALOUS.
SHE IS GREEN WITH ENVY AND IT SHOWS.
I would much rather have a president that said dead or alive, than one who got serviced by an intern while talking on the phone about our troops in Bosnia.
Hillary is jealous because now we have a president with balls and her husband's legacy is that he was obsessed with his.

Chuck was regular in Bush's boxseat at Ranger stadium...
Great minds must think alike...
